Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre

Room was ok and served its means, breakfast was a complete shambles, breakfast is served between 8-10 in Engine Room, on arrival the room was set up for a kids party and was told to get our toast and continental breakfast from there, which was lacking in variety, then go next door in to cafe used by everyone to queue up for teas/coffee and a cooked breakfast, the cooked breakfast from the hot plates was cold, by time we got back to our table our toast was cold, no staff coffee just passable, we have stayed in many hotels far and wide, even down to Travelodge and Premier Inns and this is by far the worst one.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bisham Abbey this wwekend, room, comfortable, nice bathroom, lovely surroundings, walk down to the thames, only slighht minus points, steam room could have been hotter, i appreciate there would be a lot of people using the steam room and Sauna, they could have been a little cleaner, brekfat great, just heat the plates a little more please. Overall excellent place to stay, just down the road to lovely Marlow.

Delightful! The only thing that didn't work out was me - and I wish I had. The gym facilities are amazing. We held our work strategy meetings in the Work Hub which had water, coffee, tea service, comfortable chairs and breakout areas, quiet, with good monitors and white boards. The hotel rooms were basic/modern, but large and airy - with windows that open and nice natural light. The breakfast was nice, with indoor/outdoor eating and a large selection of eats and coffee blends. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom towels large and fluffy. Easy walk to the Abbey and the River Thames. Marlow is nearby (by car at least) with quaint stores and restaurants (recommend Ivy, eating on the terrace outside in their English garden.) The area is beautiful and I feel fortunate that work picked this venue for our meetings.

I had my wedding here in August 2022 and it was beautiful. All the staff were so helpful and attentive it made it a truly magical day. Also all the feedback I’ve had about the on-site accommodation has been great. So much so my parents recently went to Marlow and stayed in the accommodation again.

Great location with plenty of parking and lovely grounds. Room was clean and a great size, breakfast was a fresh and tasty buffet. Sadly now to the things which let the place down: 1/ If you want any kind of service there isn’t any, Bisham Abbey is more a university set up and not designed as a hotel 2/ At the weekends there is no drinks/food of any kind from 4.30pm so you should be aware of this as the centre is about a 25 minute walk into Marlow for facilities. Yes we would stay here again but it would have been nice to get some kind of service .

We took a detour to bisham on our journey from Croydon to Birmingham. As traffic was so horrific being the first bank holiday since covid we decided to check in to our nearest hotel and set off again early next day ..after 3 hours in traffic we were sincerely welcomed by the girl on the check in desk and given lots of information of where we could eat and drink . Very friendly and genuine ...the welcome after a long static wait in traffic was delightful...not the most amazing facilties or rooms but lack of amenities very much made up for by staff Girl with blonde curly hair and a gentleman made our short stay a memorable one
