It says a lot about a pub when the staff are swearing behind the bar and also having a burping competition between themselves and pretending they are characters from scooby doo🤔. Lack of customer interaction and pouring of drinks like it was an effort. The music on the jukebox was good👍

An old building with wonky flooring and lovely beams. Our room was up two flights of a spiral staircase, the room was clean, spacious, the bed comfy and the room comes with all the usually items you'd expect. The pub itself had a good selection of drinks and a good selection of food items - which are reasonably priced. The service is polite and friendly

An old building with wonky flooring, lovely beams, and a narrow spiral staircase that leads to the rooms. Our bedroom was spacious and clean - as was the bathroom. All the usual amenities you'd expect from a hotel are available. The pub was busy, but from our room we couldn't hear any noise. The pub has a good selection of food and drink, and the service is friendly.

It is well situated right in the heart of the town but after that I struggle to find positives. No on-site parking (Pay and display in the town). Our room was a small attic room at the top of a winding narrow staircase. The window didn't open. The rooms were not properly serviced between our two nights - nobody touched the bathroom and the coffee sachets were not replenished. Our friends bed remained unmade. Some might describe it as quaint with the walls, floors and ceiling really so far out of level? There was no breakfast but around the corner about 50yds away was the Bear Cafe which was very good for an english breakfast at reasonable cost. So all in all it was disappointing.

Charming rooms in lovely old pub. Very clean and very comfortable beds. Location is great as it overlooks high street. The pub has lots of charm and the rooms are very nice. Very well stocked tea and coffee facilities. Yes they don’t serve breakfast but you know that when you book.

Three old school friends gathered in Marlborough to chat about the past and catch up on 40 years of news. Green Dragon was a great venue for a few pints of Wadsworth before & after evening. Very friendly staff. Not serving food that Sunday evening so ate elsewhere

Quirky old property with very large room, helpful staff and right in the centre of town. No hot water initially but this was quickly sorted out. Had a great breakfast at Bunces in the High Street. Great base for exploring Avebury and surroubding area.

Lovely Old World pub, beamed ceilings and ozing history, a reorientation spot after our red-eye from the west coast. Busy friendly pub leading to quiet guest area above and nicely appointed room upstairs. We loved the shady beer garden well away from traffic etc. No hotel parking had to use pay spots out front on High Street in 2 hr chunks and spots hard to find -recommend using the off-site lots out back.

Traditional style pub accommodation. Very clean and nicely furnished room with comfortable beds. Our room was above the main bar facing the street, but excessive noise was not an issue. No breakfast but cafes on high street.
