We had phoned in advance to say our flight landed at midnight, so we would be checking in late. No problem, the fellow on the phone said. When we got there at about 12:30 am, the doors were locked. I phoned and there was no answer at the Front Desk, so kept phoning. We were about to leave and drive home, which we were not keen to do because we had to be back the next morning, when the shuttle bus arrived with another couple from our flight. The driver of the shuttle bus was the one and only person on that night!! Come on, Best Western Plus, you can do better than that! There's cost-cutting and then there's being too frugal at the expense of your guests! We're not blaming the bus driver/front desk person, she did what she had to do. When you're at 95% capacity on a long weekend, knowing there are guests arriving late, please don't leave them standing, locked out of your hotel!! Surely that doesn't meet your standards!
