Suricate Tented Kalahari Lodge

Nachdem wir unser Auto in Windhuek abgeholt und ein paar Snacks und Getränke in die Kühlbox geladen haben, ging es zur ersten Etappe unserer Reise. Wir wurden sehr freundlich mit kalten erfrischenden Tuch und einem Getränk empfangen. Unser Gepäck wurde in die Zelte (eher Häuser) gebracht und wir wurden über die Aktivitäten des Hauses informiert und haben den Gamedrive mit Sundowner gebucht. Der geht so gegen 16.30 Uhr los mit Erasmus und dauert bis ca. 19 Uhr. Wunderschön! Dann Dinner (sehr gut) und ab ins Bett, damit wir auch ordentlich Schlaf bekommen. Das Frühstück war gut mit frisch gemachten Rühreiern und wer wollte mit Speck. Ein toller Einstand mit super freundlichen Personal. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Wasserloch. Von derTerrasse kann man immer viele Tiere beobachten.

Ruime tent met stenen badkamer aangebouwd. Groot gebied met veel dieren in de heuvelachtige zandwoestijn. Mooi uitzicht op de drinkplaats vanop afstand. WiFi enkel in hoofdgebouw. Maaltijd was mooi verzorgd. Vriendelijke bediening.

L'endroit est magique ! On peut admirer les animaux qui défilent (en nombre) de partout (de la piscine à débordement, de sa tente, lors des repas dehors...). L'endroit est très calme. Un safari est proposé dans la réserve. La literie est excellente. Le seul bémol, c'est l'isolation des tentes : on annonce des moustiquaires, mais il y a des interstices partout dans la tente et la salle de bain, parfois gros comme un poing et les insectes et lézards se faufilent comme ils veulent !

Die Lodge liegt inmitten der ruhigen Natur. Auf der Terrasse sitzend sieht man den ganzen Tag Tiere ans Wasserloch kommen. Das Zelt ist sehr komfortabel, das Essen einfach aber gut, das Personal fabelhaft!

It was a very good stop, all the members is so kindly, the safari whith adrian was great , we saw girafes , rhinos, oryxs, springboks The trip with bushmen was very interesting We recommend this place, the food and room was very top Thanks for all ASAP

The lodge is on the simpler side - small tented rooms, with no A/C, just a fan. The food is OK, but nothing spectacular. There's wi-fi only in the reception area (and it doesn't work so well), and no cell reception. The biggest problem, and the reason for my bad rating is that when I returned from dinner my room was infested with moths and mosquitos. It was my mistake to leave the light on, but someone could have warned before (or during dinner, seeing the lights) not to do that. I killed a lot of them (making a mess of the room), but they just kept coming - there must have been a hole in the tent that allowed them to get in.
