哈雷恩皇家國家公園山林小屋

Great location on the premises of Hlane National Park, which gives you direct access to the park. Rhinos come close to the fence in the morning, so you are likely to be taking your breakfast while looking at rhinos grazing in the grass. We were staying in an individual house, which was a nice hut with ensuite with separate toilet and shower room. There was a tee/coffee making set was provided. The place was super silent and calm, and we did enjoy walking around the property in the evening. We also did take a guided tour inside the park the morning next day. We did take dinner in the restaurant (which was rather nice). We didn't take breakfast though, so no comments there. Important - it is possible to pay with the bank card. Nothing was negative in particular, except that the parking could be a little bit more convenient (had to take a dirt road around the property to get to the parking lot). There's only one WiFi spot at reception (which is not much of a disadvantage - you can digitally disconnect) - mind that.

Hlane is a nice place to stay - the rooms are spacious and rustic, but very comfortable. There was a fridge in our Rondavel and a stove, however we didn't realise before we went (a bit of a combination of our fault and the hotel's, to be fair) that there is no electricity whatsoever, unless you are staying at a different campsite, which is far away. You have to use paraffin lamps at night and unfortunately it did leave us without our phones for a few days, as we had no means of charging them. Could be a good thing! The animals are amazing and we had a great time otherwise.
