From the moment we arrived till the moment we left this has been the best stay ever! We wanted to spend some time in Manteo instead of the usual and we will be coming back. We originally were only going to stay two days, but we liked it so well and it was my birthday, so my husband surprised me with two more days. All the reviews and pictures do not do it justice, plus Vicki goes above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. The drive from here to the rest is very minimal plus you get peace and quiet! It's very rare that you don't have at least one thing you don't like, but we can say from the moment we awoke to the moment we fell asleep we've never had a more enjoyable time! Thanks Again Vicki for the lovely place and an enjoyable stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend here! We were welcomed by Vickie she was so knowledgeable of the Manteo area. Our views were amazing from our balcony! We enjoyed the bird watching and boats sailing by on the sound. Such a beautiful place! Our suite had everything we needed and we loved the bathroom. This was the perfect place to celebrate our first anniversary!

Location was wonderful and close to all the activities and locations in the Outer Banks. Suite was luxurious and the view from the balcony breath taking. Great pride and effort is taken to maintain the inn and to provide a wonderful guest experience. Breakfast was delicious! I would definitely stay at Burrus House Inn again!

Beautiful location, great inn, and wonderful staff! We stayed 3 nights in Jack's Bugalow and could not have had a nicer room or better time. Great location as it is close to downtown Manteo but only 15 minutes from beach! Right on the sound so you can kayak the sound and bicycle (they have both available). Great happy hour, good breakfast offerings, and Donna-Anne was great with restaurant recommendations! Great place for a few days or a week.

I spent my 57th birthday with a great friend at the Burrus House Inn. This is such a beautiful and amazing boutique hotel. We stayed in a gorgeous suite that had a private balcony and a shared porch. The views were incredible and the suite had everything we needed for a luxurious, relaxing stay. Bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, and beach chairs were available for us to use at any time. We kayaked to the quaint village area and biked to the wildlife refuge center. We also drove a very short distance to Nags Head and Kitty Hawk to enjoy the beach. Vicki is such an amazing host and every part of our trip was fabulous. This is a must stay location!

If you're on the fence about staying at the Burrus House, definitely make it a priority!! We visited the Outer Banks and stayed here for a more small-town feel. It was absolutely perfect! We stayed in the Reba Irene room and LOVED the private balcony (actually two of them) and the views. It was just the right size with plenty of storage, a large shower with two showerheads and a whirlpool tub with a view. It's a quick drive from here to Nags Head and other OBX towns, but Manteo was super quiet and peaceful.
