Es ist wunderbar, dass es in dieser unspektakulären, abgelegenen Gegend dieses Hotel gibt. Wir haben es zur ungünstigen Zeit teilweise überschwemmt erlebt und waren froh, dass das Hotel auch unter diesen schwierigen Bedingungen den Gästen zur Verfügung steht, denn dieses Hotel mit seinem hoteleigenen Vogelschutzgebiet, in dem Wege, Stege und Plattformen erstellt wurden, ist einzigartig und ermöglicht fantastische Vogelbeobachtungen. Man könnte stundenlang auf seinem Balkon oder seiner Terrasse sitzen und den intensiven Geräuschen der üppigen Natur lauschen. Das Essen und Bargetränke sind exzellent. Der Pool geht in einen See über und ist traumhaft schön. Auch wenn das Hotel nicht perfekt ist (die feuchte Umgebung beansprucht die Substanz sehr), nicht zögern, hier zu buchen. Wir waren leider nur für eine Nacht hier und wären gerne länger geblieben.

Excellent séjour dans cet établissement de standing. Nous avions la chance d'être quasiment seuls et avons pu profiter pleinement des services de l'hôtel. Le personnel a été hyper attentif notamment par rapport à notre bébé de 2ans : Mise à disposition d'un lit pour bébé et d'une chaise haute et préparation de plats spécifiques.

Hardly a choice in places with a pool in Mannar, that might be the reason why this place overcharges the tourists 100%. Friendly staff, smallish rooms, good pool, decent set menu dinner and breakfast. All great at 3-star level, but how they dare to charge prices above USD 200 is beyond our understanding. If you need to visit Mannar area, find something with better value for money.

We had a great experience at this hotel which is situated in Mannar slightly away from the city. The welcome was great but genuinely we didn’t much enjoy the lunch. The presentation was good but not tasty and much less than we expected and experienced in a similar ranking hotel. We had no choice at all. Rooms were good Water pressure in the bathroom has to be increased as it wasn’t enough to have a bath. Nithushan did his maximum to please us and make our stay better. Best wishes on improving the hotel

My family and I traveled to Mannar from the 11th to the 14th of January and stayed at the Palmyrah House for three nights. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the rooms were nice and comfortable. As my mother-in-law's birthday was on the first day, we requested a cake, which was provided to us. All in all, it was an excellent stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed two nights accommodation and dining in this extensive hotel. Although some of the grounds had been flooded the staff provided safe and dry facilities - great food and drink, large rooms and great staff. We stayed here while visiting the Mannar Island wetlands which provide feeding grounds for a great vairety of migrating seabirds.
