麥克利爾角寧靜度假屋(Tranquilo Resorts Cape Maclear)

Wir hatten vier Nächte gebucht sind aber nach einer Nacht wieder abgereist. Wir sind erfahrene Afrika und speziell Malawi Reisende. Cape Mclear kennen wir schon seit fast 15 Jahren und haben noch nie eine so heruntergekommene Lodge mit unfähigen Personal gesehen. Der Preis ist mit über 100 $ pro Nacht absolut unverständlich hoch für das was man bekommt. Eine Frechheit und Verarschung für jeden Touristen wo sich auf seine Ferien freut. Negativ: Unser Zimmer war überaus schmutzig und wo man hin schaute waren Dinge defekt. Steckdosen fallen ab, lebensgefährlich für unser Kind. Lavabo, Toilette, Kühlschrank, bei allen rinnt Wasser heraus. In dieser Küche kochen ist nicht möglich da bereits das notwendigste nicht vorhanden ist, und alles so derart schmutzig ist und dass man’s nicht gebrauchen will. Halter sind abgefallen oder gar nicht mehr vorhanden. Die Angestellten sind nicht zuvorkommend, Kommunikation vor Ort wie auch vorab per Mail extrem schwierig bis nicht vorhanden. Man sieht dass die Lodge mal gute Zeiten hatte jedoch schon seit Jahren nichts mehr investiert wurde. Schade aber nicht zu ändern ist auch dass die Affen stets auf dem Wellblechdach herum springen und man morgens dementsprechend früh aufwacht. Der Pool war zur Zeit praktisch leer und das Wasser darin komplett grün und verschmutzt. Der Garten ungepflegt überall liegen Äste herum und an vielen Orten ist das Gras abgestorben weil es niemand wässert. Positiv: Die Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war in Ordnung und nachdem der Elektriker vor Ort war hatten wir dann auch Warmwasser.

The hotel and rooms at Cape Maclean look NOTHING like the website. Rooms are shabby with poor facilities. The 2 bedroom apartment was dark and dirty. Even the upgrade was poor - also dirty, a wardrobe with no hangers etc. the pool area is also run down and the covers on the sun loungers are filthy. It is on the shore and has nice swimming. Breakfast was good but dinner poor, especially for a vegetarian. The WiFi didn’t work although the manager did allow us to tether to him. But of course he was t around all the time. It needs a complete refurb

Fantastic staff, very quiet and confortable place. We visited most of the hotels and Airbnbs in Cape Maclear and Tranquilo was was by far one of the most clean places in the area.

Generally super nice and pleasant place. It does become a bit annoying and unpleasant though when vendors are constantly pursuing you to sell their boat trips and art inside the lodge.

Room was out of this country and felt very close to home with comfortable beds,a very quiet and serene surrounding .Fast and convenient Room service and not forgetting the food.Simply a better stay whilst in Cape Maclear. Jane Chiwenda
