If you are searching for an experience that combines the benefits of a private home with the amenities of a hotel, yet want to be off the beaten track away from other large groups of other tourists, this is for you! Set on a mountaintop amongst lush hills, along a dirt road that winds through rustic local villages, this resort towers over the majestic bay that is home to the famous, family friendly beach, Selong Balanak. We were a family with two young children aged 3 and 5 and we stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. The views were to die for! Both during the day but equally during the night when the stars were out. The kids loved the small dipping pool (supervision is a must). From the moment of airport arrival to drop off, the service was of a very high standard. (The daily dishwashing service was unexpected but appreciated!) Special shout out to Muti at the restaurant who looked after our every need and also Intan who took care of our children one day. One piece of advice, not only for here but across Lombok, is to be very clear in your communication when requesting things, not only because of language differences but also because of cultural differences, eg the concept of veganism is fairly new (and possibly bizarre here?) We had one issue with the hot water running out one day but after reporting it in the afternoon it was already fixed when we got back into the evening. There is a restaurant across the street, a 25m pool, and a gym was well equipped and felt like new. Overall we were very well impressed with the standard of the accommodation. It felt exclusive yet well catered for and we can't wait to come back!!
