負鼠旅館

Ein super schön gelegener Campingplatz in einem Waldstück gelegen. Der Inhaber ist super freundlich und typisch neuseeländisch locker. Vom Campingplatz aus kommt man über einen schönen Wanderweg durch ein Wäldchen innerhalb von 10 Minuten zum Anleger der Boote für den Ausflug zum Doubtful Sound. Etwas aufpassen muss man auf die allgegenwärtigen Sandflies…

Clean but very old, bed very comfy, quiet. Sadly only two small relaxing chairs not particularly comfy. Unfortunately there was a very strong curry smell which was not pleasant, we appreciate not the managers fault but other places have a sign saying do not cook fish, curry etc which this place needs.

This is a really cool place. Henry takes such pride in the place, and really cared about our experience. He made sure we selected the site that would work best for us, (we were in a campervan) and I saw him escorting others around to do the same. We loved the relaxed “old school” vibe around the place, and the sound of the songbirds everywhere. Being so close to the lake and to the trails through the woods. The scent of wood smoke drifting through camp when Henry lit up a fire in the chimera. The skies at night through the trees. Fancy, this is not. Authentic, yes, 1000%. Clean, cheerful, relaxing. One of the highlights of our visit to the South Island!

Amazing location, right on the lake in manapouri. Very friendly owner who let us stay last minute. Loads of random facilities on site e.g. table tennis, bbq, log burner. Lovely campsite set up with very hot showers!! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Amazing experience :) clean, cosy campsite with good amenities. Board games in the living space which is an added plus. Warm bedroom with such comfy beds and pillows etc. Excellent location as right on the lake and across the road from a pub!!!! Staff were lovely as well. Thank you sm

Basic place The location is amazing. Just to the back you can walk along the lake. Very basic place. The room I was in was ok but due to poor isolation. So noisy. I sneezed and people next door said bless you. You could here everything
