It feels like a blend of the beach and the desert, with stunning dunes creating a serene vibe. This was a family leisure trip, and I have to say, the rooms were impressive—spacious, spotless, and with bathrooms that passed my ever-picky standards. There was more than enough space to stash away suitcases, leaving the room comfortable to navigate. The gardens? Immaculate and beautifully maintained. Holiday organization was top-notch. They nailed it with themed dinners—absolutely loved that touch! Now, about the food: fresh, fresh, fresh! It’s as if it came straight from the kitchen to the table. A+ for that. Xmas breakfast was a little slow, probably because the staff was stretched thin, but they quickly redeemed themselves with a delicious brunch spread. The staff? Amazing. At first, I thought their warmth and professionalism might be scripted, like they’d just come from a training session. But no, this was genuine. Every staff member we encountered was courteous, attentive, and quick to respond. Whoever is behind their training deserves a medal. Special mention to Rosemary, the reservation manager—she was incredibly patient with my endless questions and made sure everything went smoothly. Oh, and you must visit their spa! It’s an experience on its own—relaxing, rejuvenating, and worth every minute. For golf lovers, don’t forget to pack your clubs! Malindi Golf Club is conveniently adjacent to the hotel. Even if you don’t have your own, they’ve got you covered with clubs available for hire. When we left, we didn’t leave empty-handed but with a bag full of thoughtful gifts—a perfect send-off! It’s been five years since our last family trip, and I’m so glad Ocean Beach did not let us down. What a memorable experience! ✨

I remember visiting OBR about 10 years ago for the day, and I always wanted to come back and spend a few nights. I am so glad I chose them. The staff were super understanding of my last-minute booking—bless them. The staff were pleasant and friendly while still giving me my space when required. I appreciated that the owner came up to me after I had come from checking out the gym and spa, and informed the staff that it should be open and ready for me the following day. She is such a lovely lady, passionate about her hotel, and always walks up and down, making sure the grounds are looking stellar. Rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and clean. The bed and pillows were such a joy. Best sleep I'd had that week. Highly recommended and will be going back.

The food is excellent and exceptional. The bed and pillows are also excellent and always clean. The access to the beach gives it a natural and exciting experience. The minibar is well packed but at your own expense. Generally it is an interesting experience.

The rooms were wonderful in that they were quite spacious, the bathrooms were quite updated and the meeting rooms were adequate. There’s easy access to the beach which is always a great add. However, the food here was a let down, in terms of quality, taste and variety.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and kept very clean. I loved there being 2 pools, with one for serious swimming. The staff were friendly. However, service was quite slow, and at the family pool I felt that the bar staff could have been more proactive at coming round to see if guests wanted anything. I tried for several minutes to get their attention from across the pool and eventually gave up. The food was generally good, although a bit expensive, and more choice of lunchtime snacks would have been nice (such as pizza, samosas). The fries were terrible, soggy and limp, not crispy and triple cooked as promised. The bar also didn't have all the necessary ingredients to make the cocktails on the menu.
