Me and my boyfriend stayed here in Sept 2023 and we had the best time! Straight upon our arrival we were greeted and told everything we need to know about the hotel and our room, plus a bottle of wine. The staff truly are what makes this hotel, they cannot do enough for you and make you feel extremely welcome. Food is great and the cocktails at the bar were even better. Some of the best we’ve had! Our room was spotless everyday and there were plenty of sun beds to use, along with pillows and parasols which were a nice extra touch. The location is great if you want be close to the old town of Malia, the ***** and beach is a 15/20 min walk. However we mainly stayed in the old town which was beautiful and traditional. I highly recommend trying all the restaurants and bars in this area, it’s where we had our best meals. Overall thank you for a fabulous stay and treating us like family especially when it was time to leave. Highly recommend.

Honestly the people who work here are absolutely the rudest people I’ve ever encountered, first night we arrived late around 4am and got told we are able to ask the night guard anything if we need help, he was rude telling us why would u come ask me about the AC when it was 30° at 4am, then the next day we needed water and it’s 1€ at the hotel bar for 500ml, but 0.80 € in the supermarket for 2L and they said you can’t drink that water by the pool, very strange, I understand not eating by the pool which they didn’t mention when we arrived but did when we were at the pool. Then we went to order food and got an attitude from the younger woman working at the bar, we were a group of 8 all lovely saying please and thank you, and then she comes over and says who ordered this coke, none of us did and she says well u paid for it, we say well ok just place it down then, she SLAMS it down and walks off? Who acts like this and we couldn’t even say anything because then it would be bad on us so I’m leaving this review hoping they see this and fix up.

My wife & I visited last week of September. The weather was amazing and we loved the old town area of Malia which is where this place is. The Kristalli apartments were alot better than I expected. We were really impressed. Great quality rooms, lovely gardens where the sunloungers are and a great pool bar. The owners and staff were great fun too. Malia beach isn't the best, you might want to go to another which is around 30mins walk. Old Town restaurants are amazing, really chilled vibe. We'll be coming back 100%

Before I start, and for a bit of context, my partner and I are lesbians and are always worried about travelling to new places in case we aren’t received very well. However, we had no issues whatsoever staying at this hotel and we never felt unsafe walking around Malia and being ourselves. The Greek people were always extremely warm towards us and never seemed to bat an eyelid at us being a couple, so from our own experience we would say that the hotel and the area itself is LGBTQ+ friendly. We stayed here for a week from the 9th of September 2022 until the 16th of September 2022 and had the most amazing time. We landed late at night and when we arrived at the hotel the night staff were there to greet us and show us to our room. We stayed in room 7 which had been recently renovated. It was lovely and clean, modern and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. We paid to have the buffet breakfast for the duration of our stay and did not regret it at all. Every morning there was a large selection at breakfast, and they even mixed it up every day so that you didn’t get bored - the little sausages were our favourite! The pool area was fantastic and there were plenty of sunbeds available all day, so you didn’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a place by the pool. The hotel is located in the Old Town and is only a 15 minute walk to the ***** and a 25 minute walk to the beach. There are also plenty of supermarkets around the area, one right on the doorstep of the hotel. We ate at a couple of restaurants around the corner from the hotel at night, Zorbas and Nostimo, and the food was incredible at both restaurants! Special shoutout to Mezen Restaurant too, we had amazing sushi there on our third night! If you’re wanting to explore Crete, you definitely need longer than a week as we soon found out. Buses run regularly across the island and are extremely cheap. We visited Hersonissos on the bus one day and it was really nice there, so definitely check it out if you’ve got time. We had lunch at the hotel on a couple of occasions and the food was really tasty, especially the chicken gyros! The frozen daiquiris were also very nice and reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly and really couldn’t do enough for you. We asked for a late check-out as we had a late flight coming back and they were more than happy to let us stay in our room right up until our transfer picked us up. There is a charge for late check-out, the air con and the safety deposit box, but I think that’s the case at most places now. The only thing that we could find to pick at were the maids - we were there for a week and only had our sheets changed once and our towels changed twice. Other than that, it really is a fantastic place to stay and I genuinely can’t recommend it enough. See you next year Kristalli!

The rooms where never properly cleaned and the bed sheets wasn’t changed once through the whole 7 days of staying there they just made the bed to give off the impression they has been in and cleaned. Had to go ask for more toilet paper as never re stocked us and then had to buy our own after refusing more. Also no the most friendly of people don’t have the basic manners towards the guests. I won’t be staying here again as they can’t even do the basics .
