Stayed for 7 nights self catering. We were given a second floor sea view room which had 2 balconies and was lovely. The room was packed with all the amenities we needed for our stay, however we did go to the local supermarket to purchase a cloth, wash liquid and hand soap as not in the room. This was our first time self catering so was unsure what we would receive. The room was large, bright and clean with a kitchen and table area. The bathroom had a large shower and also spacious. The main bedroom was well appointed and very clean. The pool area was lovely, no need to reserve beds as plenty for all. Although in the height of season this maybe different. The staff were attentive and helped us when needed, other than that they left us to come and go and enjoy our holiday. You pay 10 euro to use the safe deposit box that is located in the wardrobe. Also a charge for A/C - believe this is 50 euro, we didn’t need it on this trip. All in all I would definitely stay at this family run hotels again, it’s clean, safe and in a great location to explore Stalis, Malia and hop on the local buses to travel the island.

I’ve stayed here many times & love everything about this place. Family run apartments located a short walk from nearest beach. A large pool & a splash pool for the kids set in green grassed garden furnished with sunbeds / umbrellas. The rooms are well maintained & housekeeping is amazing. There is a fabulous restaurant (Elia food & drink) serving from breakfast till late, a comprehensive menu suiting all tastes. The family & staff are all great & go above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful experience.

Stayed in a sea view studio apartment. Very clean in fact spotless. Towels and bedding changed frequently throughout stay. Very comfy beds nice shower, Basic but has everything you need. Very friendly family run with fantastic pool and restaurant at very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Most friendly place to stay, Maria and staff go above and beyond to make you welcome, great location, restaurant, bar and pool area, lovely comfy beds with everything you need in your apartment, see you all again soon

I have been coming to Stalis for years now and we have always visisted pela sofia in the day to use the pool aswell as drink and eat lunch there to so we spend between 60-100 euros a time. Karen one of the waitresses is lovely and couldn’t fault her at all but the owner/manager is very very rude not allowing any kind of fun or ball games (every time I have been someone is playing catch then the second day we returned the ball was gone so we bought a new one to play with but as soon as we started playing with it they started shouting at the kids saying no balls) 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻 and when our two girls aged 6 and 9 were in the pool playing on a Lilo made some noise she ran over and said no noise too loud (nobody else was in the pool at this time or even around the pool as it was late afternoon) They had been jumping in and out of the pool for a few hours untill again she ran over and so no more jumping. They may aswell keep it to a adult only place as any type of kids noise is not welcomed and they shout at the kids and not speak to the adults. We have spent a lot of money here over the years and was very shocked to be treated this way. They obviously do not care about returning customers. A shame as it’s a lovely setting.just need to get new staff (let me say again Karen is lovely and very welcoming and was sorry to see us go as we did nothing wrong

What a beautiful place to stay In Stalis!! Fantastic apartments and fantastic people!! Pool was amazing, food was brilliant but the people made it!! So friendly and helpful in every way. Lovely family run appartments that are located right on the beach road. There is a large pool & children’s splash pool set in beautifully maintained gardens. The rooms vary in size from twins to family rooms & are on 3 levels (lift access is available). Housekeeping operates to a very high standard with towels and bedding changed regularly. Rooms have Kitchenette, en-suite bathroom & balcony. A/C & safe are extra charge. This property also has a fabulous Elia food & drink restaurant (opens 8am) serving all types of dishes & drinks.

What a wonderful stay, this was our first self catering holiday and the place is absolutely charming. This family run hotel really do go the extra length to make sure you feel welcome, the rooms are cleaner than some 5* hotels we’ve stayed in and the food even better. This hotel offers impeccable value and a beautiful view. There’s always sunbeds and I cannot overstate how friendly and welcoming the staff and family who run this hotel are. It’s so rare these days to find hotels run by a family but the care and attention they put into this place clearly shows. Will definitely stay here again if I get the chance.
