Vidis Chalet Hotel

Theth is one of the most spectacular mountain locations in Europe, just stunning and must be seen to be believed. Traditionally a magnet for hikers and backpackers, now Vidi’s Boutique Chalet is a newly opened small hotel offering a high standard of quality and comfort to the discerning traveler. Opened late in 2023, this property has already been designated an award winner among Albanian Hotels. It was designed, built and is run by the energetic and welcoming couple, Plume and Mira. Their sincere hospitality and desire to please every guest has no limits. Mira is on site from early in the morning until well into the evening after the last guests have finished dinner, with her radiant smile and gracious hospitality la constant. We took all our meals there and Mira turns out very delicious home style breakfasts and dinners using many locally sourced and all natural food ingredients. During our stay every guest found the food to be of an excellent standard. The structure is a classic A Frame with 8 rooms. Due to the nature of an A frame, the higher up you go the smaller the rooms, but in our estimation even the smaller rooms are lovely. One issue is, there is no lift and the stairs are a bit narrow. Those with impaired or limited mobility should take note of this. The staff will carry your luggage to and from your rooms, and in our estimation most guests will be fine with this, given all the superlatives about this property. The view from the front terrace is mind blowing and unforgettable, a great place to meet and greet the other guests and linger over a delicious meal or afternoon drinks. The rooms are very attractive, comfortable and well equipped. In a lifetime of world travel, for us Vidi’s Chalet is among the most memorable places we’ve stayed. The prices are reasonable too, given the challenges of building and operating a quality establishment in this location. Do your self a favor and drive up to Theth. Stay with Mira and Plume in this unforgettable place for a few days. You are not likely to forget it.

The hosts are so wonderful and the food was outstanding! We can not say enough good things about our experience. The food was luxurious in the most beautiful setting. The hospitality was out of this world!! It’s hard to get help in Theth as it is far from the main cities and the hosts have to do everything so be patient and you won’t be disappointed.
