馬爾切西內湖濱飯店

Just returned from a wonderful week in this excellent hotel in this idyllic part of the planet. We loved it. If booking, get a lakeside view. The back rooms just don’t have a view! We did have a lakeside view on the second floor, with a good sized balcony, two sun beds & two chairs. We could sit in the sun or move back into the shade. Nice spacious room, en-suite, fridge, with in room bar in it & a safe which is free of charge. We’ve stayed in nicer but not at this price; great value for money. We had B&B option allowing us to explore options in town a 15 minute stroll along the lakeside to or go the opposite way to lakeside restaurants with great choice & bean bags for those wanting a more sedentary position. The old town is a treat, was not full of families so perfect for couples and groups of friends 40+! Boat trips to other venues were plentiful as were bus services & bike hire. The adventurous had plenty to keep them excited on water, in the air or on mountain bike. Our day trip to the top of Monte Baldi was a treat. We struck it lucky as we were a short walk away as a storm had just passed by so no queues. We’d heard others tell horror stories of long queues. Again we were lucky when we got to the top, it was sunny, warm & views of the full lake available if you chose to walk to a spot away from the top of the cable car. As you can gather we’ve loved our stay. It was northern Italy by the side of a mountain range so the weather was changeable but 75% of sunshine and close to 30c temperatures isn’t something to moan about. We’ll be back to this hotel & Malcesine - highly recommend it!

Cucina top, staff cortese e gentilissimo. Il ragazzo che lavora al bar è un simpaticone. L'unica pecca, dopo aver preso un ottimo caffè al bar, mentre scambiavo due chiacchiere con il simpaticissimo barista, si avvicina una signora un po' in sovrappeso che sentendoci parlare per l'appunto di "questioni di peso" forse si è sentita un po' attaccata e mi ha invitato molto gentilmente ad uscire fuori

Splendida location in riva al lago, personale molto accogliente alla reception e gentile al bar ristorante, che si affaccia direttamente sul lago e sulla bellissima passeggiata che arriva in centro a Malcesine

I spent 4 nights at this hotel last week and I couldn't have been happier. I had dreamed of staying at this hotel for years - I used to stay in Val di Sogno but the walk into town is too much for me now. The staff here are so friendly and helpful and my lakefront room was a dream. I hope I am lucky enough to get back here before too long.

We had a perfect stay at Beach Hotel Du Lac, with our 7 month old. While there weren't lots of babies/kids at the hotel, the staff went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. While they were all incredibly friendly, we must give a particular shout out to Vasile and Greta in the restaurant and Michel on reception. The hotel is peacefully situated c.10-15 mins walk away from the centre of town, which is a lovely walk alongside the lake, while also a 5 min walk to a number of other restaurants and bars. You can be swimming in the lake in less than a minute from your room, and we loved making use of the pool as well. Our room was lovely, spacious and modern and with a great balcony/view. The breakfast was great, with lots of different options and in a beautiful setting opposite the lake. Overall, we could not recommend this hotel highly enough.

I first came here when I was 18 and returned in July 2024 with my 11 year old son. This hotel is outstanding. It's been family-run for decades and this is reflected in the presentation/feel of the property - it feels like home. The location is amazing, the staff are fantastic (special mention to the receptionist, Michael, who made are stay very easy when it came to booking and arrangements). The food is wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
