Our stay at The Thurston House was a wonderful, charming, comfortable and peaceful place to be on our anniversary trip. The Hirsch room was clean, cozy and well maintained. It had its own thermostat to set the temperature to our liking, a TV with streaming services and good WiFi for our devices. The attached bathroom was unique and a good size for two people. Also in the bathroom is a closet with hangers, robes, full size ironing board and iron. The home itself is full of history and has many places to relax inside and out. The small lake in front with a walking path makes for a great place to be outside and enjoy the scenery. The amazing breakfast provided every morning is a great way to start the day. The host and owner Bev uses fresh ingredients and is very attentive to any dietary needs. She herself is the shining beacon that makes your stay all the better. Her warm hospitality and willingness to meet your needs makes you feel like such an exclusive guest in her own home. Having stayed at several hotels, not needing to pay extra for parking or a separate resort fee is a huge plus, on top of breakfast being included, the value you get for the price of the room is hard to beat. We can’t recommend this place enough and would definitely return to The Thurston House whenever we make our way back to central Florida.

Most enjoyable and peaceful experience! Beverly was the perfect hostess, preparing a five star breakfast for three days in a row; each day was different and delicious! She decorated for a birthday celebration with candles and balloons. She also gave valuable local tips and recommendations for dining and entertainment The historical home had a multitude of enjoyable spaces, indoor and out. Rockers, swings, hammocks, tables for snacks; elegant yet comfortable.. The grounds were lovely and well manicured, with trails to stroll and listen to the songbirds; cardinals, Virginia wrens, woodpeckers, blue gray gnatcatchers, catbirds,and more. We saw a barred owl in the forest, and wood ducks in the lake. Early dawn from my window tiny bats could be seen catching insects over the lake. We did the Blue springs river tour which was beautiful, Beverly had prepared a special

If you're looking for an amazing place to stay in the Orlando area and or to celebrate a special occasion, look no further than Thurston House. We have celebrated two graduations here, and my in-laws anniversary, each experience has been truly memorable. Beverly, the innkeeper, has an incredible eye for detail and goes above and beyond to make every moment special. The hospitality, ambiance, and charm of Thurston House are unmatched—we can't recommend it enough!

The Thurston House is a homey and lovely B&B. Feels like going home to be spoiled. The three course breakfasts are delicious. The rooms are nicely decorated and very quiet. There are several screened porches for relaxation. The gardens are a delight. The owner is very friendly and recommended the boat tour. The boat tour is fun. All in all a great place to stay! I recommend visiting the Charleston Hoser Morse Museum. The largest Tiffany collection anywhere

This place is truly a hidden gem tucked away from city noise. A beautifully restored 1885 Victorian home with old Florida feel surrounding greenery of trees, lush gardens and a lake. Each room is comfortable and has everything you need to relax and enjoy. Beverly is a lovely host and creates that welcoming home away from home feel. Her cooking is amazing from farm to table.

A really beautiful and restful B&B in Maitland Florida. I stayed here for three nights in February with family and we had a wonderful, restorative time. Beverly is a very special host and a great cook; we had delicious breakfasts every morning and freshly baked treats to have with coffee each afternoon. There are wonderful walks around the house and Winter Park and Winter Garden are a short drive away. Thurston House is also a great antidote to the madness of Orlando and the parks.

The 1885 Thurston House was everything we wanted for our Anniversary weekend. The location to downtown Winter Park and the Hillstone restaurant was perfect. Easy access to our must see list. The rooms were beautiful, inviting, very clean and so comfortable. I especially enjoyed taking a nap on the porch hammock! The food was prepared by Beverly. Each morning was something new and delicious. The owner, Beverly was delightful. She greeted us at the door, gave us a quick tour and answered all our questions. We enjoyed conversations with guests and Beverly - and we enjoyed our quiet time on the lawn swing and porch rockers. Will definitely return. 5 star +++

We stayed here for our Valentine Anniversary and chose the O’Heir room which is the red room with a lake view and a beautiful sunrise each morning. You wake up to the smell of what is cooking and awaits you for a delicious homemade breakfast. Beverly the Inn owner greets you downstairs with a sweet treat with coffee and juice and followed with a hearty breakfast. The house is full of charm and it’s clean, quiet and feels like home. It’s a treat to have coffee on the screen porch looking out at the lake. Take time to walk around the property and hear the birds and quietness. We ventured out everyday for adventure and came back to peace and quiet. Highly recommend

A quiet, beautiful, and well appointed Inn. Nice touches of comfort in sleeping and bath area. House plants in every room, reading lights bedside, thick towels. Breakfast was hearty, delicious, and presented with thoughtfulness and care.
