We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the hornbill lodge My daughter enjoyed the huge pool and friendly animals The food was delicious The room was comfortable and we slept very well Thank you to the helpful and attentive team. I look forward to our next visit It was great to be out of the city and not ha e to drive for too long to get there.

The cottage was cute. The water is brown coming out the tap and the place was dirty. The owner also spoke to her workers very poorly which was very off putting. We enjoyed all the space. Room service was promised but never came which was disappointing considering how dusty it all was.

Public toilets don't flush. Advertise room service but no. Found cockroach in my food. Sent my meal back 3 times today. Wrong order. Steak overcooked. Restaurant cobwebs. Overall feeling of uncleanness. Much left to be desired!! I did not enjoy my stay and will not return

Hornbill is definitely the type of place that goes the extra mile for their clients making you feel like part of the family. We hope to see them soon again. Some of the best food ive ever had, Steaks and Burgers and Milkshakes are a must.

If you are looking for a family run, exceptional service and beautiful property this is the place to come to. There are dogs on the property, so for an animal lover I would recommend that you meet Hashtag the friendly staffie on the property, his presence was such a delight! . A pool on site as well as a restaurant with a wide menu variety were nice additions. I will definitely stay here again in future.

What a beautiful lodge and a relaxing weekend away. Situated one hour out of Johannesburg, it was a pleasant surprise that a place so scenic was so close. It was very affordable and delivered in terms of service and accommodation. Very family oriented with a lot of flexibility. There aren't a lot of activities at the lodge, however, it is centrally located so you can drive to other parts of Magaliesburg for the activities. I would definitely recommend Hornbill for an affordable and revitalizing weekend away. You can hike, get a massage and star gaze while you're there.

A beautiful property. Very relaxing. The perfect break, away. Everyone was extremely friendly. We loved all the animals. The food was delicious. The hike up the mountain was awesome and not tiring or too long especially for our son. We will definitely go back!

Had a wonderful stay at Hornbill Lodge last weekend. Had a lovely hike with our very friendly guide, Benjamin, and a very relaxing massage. The food was delicious (one f the best steaks I've had) and the service was fantastic! I also loved all the fury little friends who joined in on the activities! Would recommend it to anyone
