梅雷梅塔旅舍-馬菲亞島

Les 20 minutes de trajet se font avec le propriétaire des lieux (avec supplément) qui sera présent tout le séjour est urique soit l’heure en cas de souci. L’établissement possède une grande salle ouverte dans laquelle un menu 3 plats à prix correct et de qualité est servi (on regrette avoir eu le même repas au 5eme jour mais la qualité est bonne. Les petits déjeuners sont eux plutôt moyens et pas très varies et souvent tiède voir froid). La chambre est grande, propre et surtout avec la climatisation ce qui est un luxe à un lile (peut être la raison de la différence de prix avec d’autres établissements plus rustiques. Meremeta vous fera gratuitement le taxi jusqu’à la plage d’utende (belle plage mais rien à voir avec zanzibar) ou vous pourrez trouver les centres de plongée (le but principal de notre séjour sur lequel sr sont greffées les requins baleines présents à cette période). À noter que vous devrez payer la taxe parc marin de 23.5$/jour/personne l’établissement se situant dans le parc (ce qui plombe le budget en plus du prix exorbitant des vols depuis zanzibar. Si vous ne plongez pas like présente peu d’intérêt mais pour ceux qui plonges les coraux sont magnifiques et la vie marine très riche.

L’établissement est composé de chambres spacieuses avec une grande terrasse avec canapés et hamac. Il est situé dans un jardin tropical très bien entretenu et joli. Si d’aucun regrette que l’établissement ne soit pas sur la plage , ce n’est pas grave car le snorkling est seulement accessible en bateau . Nous avions séjourné auparavant dans un hôtel sur la plage mais les chambres étaient si inconfortables et rudimentaires que nous sommes partis et avons passé à Meretta Lodge un très bon séjour au même prix de chambre. Les repas sont de bonne qualité. Le service de chambre est irréprochable. Le staff très à l’écoute et gentil. Des vélos sont à disposition. Je recommande

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was comfortable and we were happy to have A/C. The only thing we didn't enjoy so much in the room was a bit of a smell coming from the drains in the washroom. There was a nice hammock and comfy couch on the porch. It would have been ideal to have some seating available in the room, as we had to sit on beds in the evening when we were trying to avoid mosquitos after dusk. There were plenty of comfortable couches available in the large open common area where the bar and dining areas were located. The food was excellent. Three course dinner was available for USD $15. They were kind enough to cater to my requests for more veg and no rice/pasta/potato side dishes. With early morning scuba trips, they were happy to pack a sizeable breakfast for me to take along, sending fruit, muffins, pancakes, and omelette depending on your preferences. It was great to enjoy it after a couple of dives to not be underwater with a full stomach. I appreciated the free transfer to the beach as early as 5:30AM, and though we generally walked the 20min back to the lodge each afternoon, they were also happy to go pick up other guests who I went diving with. We appreciated the friendly service, and would certainly stay again. The compound was beautiful with all the trees and flowers.

In February 2024, we had the privilege of staying at Meremeta Lodge. This place exudes authenticity and a true local flavor. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets over the beds, essential features in this region. The meals provided were varied, plentiful, and delicious, and the assistance offered in organizing activities was impeccable. However, what truly makes Meremeta Lodge special is the presence of Mr. Meremeta and his staff. During our stay, we felt at home, welcomed as if we were family. In particular, during an unexpected situation, Mr. Meremeta supported us far beyond his professional duties, with kindness and care that we will never forget. This is a lovely place to have an evening meal. Went there twice during our stay on Mafia Island. The food quality and service was superb. Meremeta is the owner and makes an amazing host. The place is very clean, open aired with fans for cooling.

A sweet little lodge just outside the Park entrance. Mr. Meremeta has delightful bungalows, nice food, lovely garden of hibiscus and bougainvilleas. He provides free bicycles to get around and will deliver you to dive sites every morning. Have stayed with him twice and will again.
