Bel posto affacciato sul mare. Da migliorare decisamente il servizio. Da provare al meno una volta per rilassarsi da lunedì al venerdì. Da evitare sabato e domenica e festivi se cercate pace e tranquillità. Per il resto si può migliorare sempre.  Grazie per l’ospitalità.

Hermosa Hostería, con habitaciones amplias y confortables. Muy linda piscina, espacio de juegos, cenas y almuerzos variados muy bien preparados. Destaco especalmente la cálida atención de David y de Andrea, nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos.

This is a pretty nice place with excellent security. The rooms are comfortable (except the beds which were rock hard) and clean. The included breakfast each morning consisted of a fruit plate and then eggs with some form of starch and a small portion of meat. The coffee was excellent. The main reason I can't rate this hotel very highly is their exclusionary attitude and basic lack of business sense. I had come to Machalilla to visit with my sister and her family who lived in town. When I asked if I could bring them to visit and enjoy some time by the pool they told me it would be $25/person/day. That price is not designed to cover the extra cost of extra people, but to discourage inviting guests onto the grounds completely. They were successful. I told them that the price was unreasonable and that I would not spend a dime more at their hotel during my stay unless I could invite my family to join me for meals or time by the pool. The receptionist said they'd ask the manager to contact me but he never bothered. Also note that we were the only visitors to the hotel for about half of our stay. Instead, we went over to the Oceanic resort in Puerto Lopez to enjoy some excellent food, drink and pool time with my nieces for only $3/person. My sister mentioned another place up in the hills that allowed guests for a similar price, so there are definitely better options when visiting the area for family.
