This traditional B&B is situated along side a very busy and noisy main road. The proprietor welcomed us at the front door and proceeded to give the fastest check-in I’ve ever encountered … fine by me. The room was “cosy”, clean with plenty of hot water and strong WiFi. You have to order Breakfast the night before (excellent as it cuts down waste/cost). It was cooked freshly in the morning, nice and crispy, how I like it, no grease at all. We paid a good price for this comfortable stop-over. Get there early as there are only 2 car parking spaces between 3 rooms. Also take your earplugs as the traffic noise is constant throughout the night.

Lovely B&B. Hosts were very welcoming. Nice clean rooms. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend. As a bonus your a short walking distance to local amenities. There are lots of local pubs and restaurants too. It is also a short drive into Southampton if your going in a cruise like we are.

Another excellent stay at Avalon House with hosts Nick and Judith, great location with off road parking the Room was clean and tidy with everything you could want, the breakfast was superb plenty off it and well presented, and yet again the hosts were friendly and helpful in every way. great stay, Thanks

So glad we stayed here, everything was what we wanted for our 4 night stay. A warm welcome from Nick and Judith and a nice clean room with a comfortable king size bed, plenty of storage and an ensuite with a nice large bath and shower. Very nice cooked breakfasts with lots to choose from including a choice of serials and fruit juices. Only a short walk to Lyndurst High Street where there are plenty of restaurants and pubs to choose from. Continue walking along the High Street and you are in the New Forset Country Park with plenty of wild horses see. It was a good base for us as was nearby to all the outdoor activities we had planned. It was everything we wanted and very happy with our stay.

Stayed at Avalon prior to joining a cruise in Southampton. Perfect location just half an hour driving to the port. Lovely property found on the main road prior to the one way system in Lyndhurst. A couple of parking spots in the grounds of the property yet plenty of space on the side road outside. Just a five minute walk into Lyndhust for restaurants and shops. Immaculate and peaceful room. A great stay and highly recommend.

Just 5*, bed was very comfortable, shower was powerful and easy, rooms had everything you need , breakfast was delicious, so yummy, and was a help yourself service to cereals yogurts. The husband and wife who host the b&b are fabulous they are so kind and helpful and so lovely. I would 100% recommend the stay was a pleasure and would love to return.

Great stay at Avalon, Nick and Judith the perfect hosts, everything was spot on, room was nice , clean and tidy great en suite, breakfast was large and tasty and well presented. Only a five minute walk into Lyndhurst, and off road parking a plus to. would highly recommend.

Friendly owners who made me feel welcome. Room clean, well equipped and nicely decorated with a comfy bed and great shower that had a strong water flow. Breakfast was delicious and the location is very convenient as is the parking. Nice and quiet at night too.
