I can't rave about this spectacular lodge enough! From the moment we were "welcomed home" we were in awe of the lodge space, the Zambezi River and the accommodation itself. All staff were lovely, helpful and sincere. The services provided were faultless. Myself and my friend that I was travelling with have both been to other parts of Africa and on safari many times, so I guess you could say our expectations were a little higher than average, especially for the game drives (we mostly wanted to see lions and leopards). The game drives did not disappoint, and our amazing guide Moses went above and beyond. He was professional, passionate, had a deep understanding of all wildlife and the land, he communicated constantly and came up with great plans for us, he was intuitive, funny and personable. We loved him and will definitely request him again when we go back in the future. The wildlife sightings both in and out of the national park were phenomenal - we saw a leopard cub on our very first drive (and second and third!!) - a first for me. In our 5 nights at Zambezi Grande we saw everything and spent some real quality time with lions and leopards, just like we had hoped. Zambezi Grande is spectacular and I cannot recommend it enough!

My husband and I had the most magical honeymoon at Zambezi Grande. The food, service, rooms and team were absolutely exceptional! I can't recommend it more highly for an escape for an exclusive nature escape. There's often a tradeoff between closeness to nature and high luxury but Zambezi Grande has been able to bridge that gap and have created a little slice of heaven along the Zambezi!

From the second we arrived at the Zambezi Grande, we were immersed in the raw beauty & might of the Zambezi River. The lodge is located right on the river —tastefully designed with an authentic yet elegant touch that blends perfectly into the riverfront setting. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. The food was exceptional—fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious every time. Our suite had breathtaking views of the Zambezi River, and falling asleep to the sounds of nature was pure magic. The game drives and river safaris were unforgettable. We saw elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and an array of birdlife, all while being guided by knowledgeable and passionate rangers. Zambezi Grande is a must visit should anyone plan on visiting the lower Zambezi.

Me and my sister visited Zambia and Zambezi Grande for the first time a week ago. We stayed at Zambezi Grande for four nights and we absolutely loved it. Josh talked to us to understand what we wanted from the experience and created an itinerary for us. Everything was done with so much thought and care and we as guests enjoyed every step of the way. The Safari, boat trips, massage and service from all staff is five star and definitely worth experiencing. Another aspect that stood out was the amazing food as well as an incredible wine and food tasing evening that was held at the lodge. We learned a lot from our rangers about the wildlife and Zambia and we also experienced a lot of beautiful wildlife and nature. After exploring or fishing it was great to go back to the lodge to relax. We fell in love with Zambia and Zambezi Grande, a big thanks to Josh and the team.

A True Hidden Gem Zambezi Grande Lodge completely exceeded our expectations. Every single meal was exceptional—flavorful, beautifully presented, and consistently five-star quality. Josh and the staff were incredibly accommodating, attentive, and truly made us feel at home, always looking out for our interests. The activities were unforgettable, and the lodge itself is breathtaking. The interior design is world-class—thoughtfully curated and seamlessly integrated with the stunning natural surroundings. The designer Michelle Throssel designed something truly special. We’re already planning our return. A rare gem in the wild—we’ll be back often.
