Niet te geloven deze lodge, je moet het beleven! Mooiste lodge die ik ooit heb gedaan en eigenlijk waren ze allemaal mooi! Dit overtrof alles, de service, het personeel, de keuken was top! De safari’s waren super! De massage was heerlijk… teveel om op te noemen! Gewoon boeken het is een echte beleving!!! Bryan de barman was ook buitengewoon goed!!!!👍

Nous avons passé un incroyable moment dans le parc du Lower Zambezi au Sausage tree camp. Les chambres et les parties communes sont incroyables, tout est très propre et le personnel est au petit soin. Les activités sont variées et les guides très bien informés. Mention spécial pour les massages très bien réalisés ! Merci pour tout

Wir waren im Oktober 23 im Sausage Tree Camp, mitten im Sambesi Nationalpark und vom erste Moment an überwältigt. Hier vermischt sich Abenteuer mit Luxus und fügt sich zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis zusammen. Die "Zelte" sind perfekt ausgestattet und sehr stylisch. Sie verfügen über ein großzügiges Badezimmer, samt der Möglichkeit sich draußen zu duschen. Auf der großen Terrasse befindet sich ein kleiner aber feiern Pool - perfekt zum Erfrischen und Tiere beobachten. Ein eigener Host kümmert sich exklusiv um uns und das Zelt und ist rund um die Uhr via Funk erreichbar. An unserem Zelt (Nr. 7) führte eine "Durchzugsstrecke" für Elefanten vorbei. Wir hatten mehrmals das Glück, eine Elefantenherde hautnah an uns beim vorbeiziehen beobachten zu können. Zweimal am Tag (frühmorgens und in der Dämmerung) ging es auf Game-Drive. Mit unserem Ranger George war das ein besonderes Erlebnis. Er hat ein unheimliches Gespür, ist sehr humorvoll und wir haben uns immer sicher gefühlt. Man könnte auch Walking-Safaris machen oder via Kanu auf Tour gehen. Wir haben Game-Drives via Jeep vorgezogen und alles hautnah erlebt: Elefanten, Wasserbüffel, Nilpferde, Leoparden und sogar Löwen bei der Jagd! Kulinarisch alles Top! Frühstück, Lunch und Dinner + Afternoon-Tea! Einmal wurde ein Buschdinner organisiert, bei Barbecue und Lagerfeuer mitten im Busch ein andermal gabs Lunch auf einer Sandbank mitten im Sambesi River - unvergessliche Erlebnisse! Das Team ist in höchstem Maße freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nach kurzer Zeit wissen sie über kulinarische und weintechnische Vorlieben bescheid. Nochmal sei Ranger George erwähnt, der dieses Erlebnis im Sausage Tree Camp ganz besonders unvergesslich für uns gemacht hat.

What to say that is negative about this camp???? Sorry, can't find one thing! Everything was well organised, well taken care of. Luxurious clean tents, or should I say Villa's? And all the staff is just splendid, helpful, friendly,... Food is excellent (proof: my expanded waist after our stay there...) But most of all: the wildlife was ashtounding, amazinf, fantastic!

We loved Sausage Tree Camp! It was an outstanding experience from the service. to the food, to the guiding, to the location and the game drives. We will be returning! We visited for 4 nights, wished we'd had longer and were sad to leave. Our muchinda, Ashif, looked after us incredibly well: he managed to be proactive and unobtrusive, learning what we wanted quickly. He took the greatest care of us. Our guide, Alex, combined wide experience, and broad and deep knowledge with a love of his environment and his land which he was happy to share with us. But it was all the staff (too many to name) who were wonderful: conversations with Douglas and Faith; Brian's cocktails; the masseurs who were very good indeed. The location is incredible. Arrival by boat to the glorious Lower Zambezi National Park, passing hippos and crocs and wildlife on the river banks. The river was just beautiful. Our room (huge, comfy, well appointed, great decks, stunning views, super plunge pool, elephant highway next door) was a sanctuary, and the public areas (especially the lap pool) were gorgeous. Food was plentiful (so plentiful) and great quality. We had lunch in the shallows of the river; dinner in the bush (where staff had strung up lanterns in the trees and made a boma). The animals we saw - big and very small - were many, varied and interesting. We learned a huge amount about them and the land and the environment.

If you are looking for a high end eco-experience combined with beautiful accommodations look no further. It is well worth every dollar. All staff are excellent and unobtrusive. Outstanding guides and trackers will give you remarkable opportunities to view wildlife. Beside the game drives your outings can include walking safaris and boating safaris. The setting by the river creates a superb dining experience that can include viewing hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and Cape Buffalo as you take in the scenery.
