Great stay in a small village along the shore.
The room was comfortable and our host was very pleasant. Every effort was made to make our stay easy. A stroll through the village and along the shoreline was very relaxing. And the breakfast, ready at exactly the time requested, was delicious and a great touch.

I was visiting Dumbarnie Links just up the coast and this proved a perfect stopover. Like many of the reviews, I can only echo the sentiment of this B&B. The location is stunning, a very quiet part of a quiet town right on the beach - plus visiting in February meant that you really feel like you’re experiencing a part of life in Lower Largo. Matt is a genuine and kind host and you do feel welcome and part of a small community. There is a sea swimming group every morning which I’m sure Matt would get you involved with, I just watched! I had a sea view room and you can hear the waves. Lovely room with a powerful shower! Breakfast was whatever you requested (I had perfect poached eggs) and included an enjoyable conversation with Matt, as I was on my own. This is what makes B&B different from a hotel and this is a delight. Many thanks.

Matthew is a wonderful host, great to chat with and makes sure all your needs are taken care of.

Stayed here for two nights and could not fault it. We had a lovely big room which was warm and very comfy bed. Amazing shower. The real gem of seascape is Matt who was so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was so nice with lots of choice and everything fresh. Great produce and cooked really well. We will definitely return.

This was a real gem of a find. The accommodation is lovely, right by the beach in a delightful, quiet village. Matt is a perfect host, communication was great throughout and he produced a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to explore the area.

Friendly host, fabulous setting and a most comfortable room. Room had an extremely comfy bed with all you could need including great shower, fluffy towels, nice toiletries, tea and coffee making etc. Great view over the Forth. Breakfast choice good and catered well for vegetarian. Highly recommended for a short stay in a beautiful tranquil village. Free parking very near to B and B. 20 mins from St Andrews on a decent road. Great pub/Hotel, The Crusoe serving tasty food (you need to book really especially if a weekend). Staff friendly and welcoming, menu a little pricey but well worth it. Thankyou, Matt, we hope to return sometime 😊
