Me encantó

This was my first stay at the Omni in Louisville. I found it to be a lot of fascade and very little substance. The highest floors are residential so the hotel is really only the lower section. Getting above the noise at steeet level is nearly impossible. Lousville seems to have a vibrant culture of motorcycle groups and car enthusiasts who tend to spend the late night hours driving loudly though the streets. The roof top pool is very small. More of a bar with a pool than a pool with a bar. Getting chairs was impossible. Tried several times to get a chair in the sun. Pool was always overcrowded. The design of the facilities was not meant to match the potential occupancy of the hotel in any good ratio. Dining options were uninspired and expensive. Do you really have "multiple" dining options if every one serves the same food and mixed drinks? Dont you just have a chain with multiple locations? Valet seemed overworked the entire time we were there. Everytime was a 20-30 minute wait. Area was so crowded I cant believe there were not accidents all the time. For 45 a night i expect a properly staffed valet. If you have weddings or conferences than add staff. Room was small and the non-bed offerings were uncomfortable and cheap. Nothing you wanted to sit in for any amount of time. No microwave, not a single plug within 10 feet of the bed, pillows were flat, and the ceiling in the shower was peeling. In short nothing impressive or special that would warrant price.
