The location is great for us, just off the M40, and there isn't a convenient alternative. The outdoor area has wonderful views and it was lovely to sit out sipping drinks. Check in was easy. Room and bathroom were spotless. But the double bed was small compared to the usual Premier Inn size, and there are no accessible rooms with walking showers. Our bathroom had a step in bath with no grab bar at the end you get in, a shower curtain that hung inside the very narrow bath but sadly didn't hang down into the bath but just reached the top edge (yes, really). The shower is fine but really uncomfortable to use. A quick improvement would be to move the shower curtain rail 30cm outside the bath, get a very long shower curtain which would reach well into and down into the bath so a) it would actually function well to keep the floor dry, and b) the user could raise their arms to wash normally without sticking to the wet curtain and knocking the hem out of the bath. We didn't eat here.

Stayed 15th May 2025 for one night with friends. This place is dirty and in need of a full refurbishment in my opinion. Room 117. Black mould on all the bathroom tiles a toilet seat that didn’t fit, terrible stained toilet & very grubby carpets. They allocated a disabled access room to our friends even though it wasn’t needed or requested. It makes for difficulties when using the toilet or sink as they are too low for able bodied people. We also booked breakfast at the Brewers Fayre, which was just simply dirty! No working coffee machine, dirty glasses for the juice, terrible tables, stained and all the surfaces coming away, dirty windows, carpet and walls. Staff arguing with manager about shifts in public areas!! If we hadn’t have been with others we’d have walked out. On a very small plus the bed was reasonably comfortable and we had no issues with noise. I don’t expect 5* but Basic cleanliness is a requirement inn2025.

Struggled to sleep as it was the hottest room we’ve stayed in. We asked the lady on reception to turn the air con down which she did- manually overriding it for us. However this only last about an hour and we woke up every hour cooking! The window would not open.

Pleasant friendly welcome late at night. Clean room, comfy bed. No shaver socket in bathroom which was annoying for hubby. Phone charging possibility would have been good. Breakfast ok but trays would stop many trips to food area carrying drinks bowls plates etc

The room stank of cigarettes and **** . Windows open to get rid of smell so was cold . Went to the bar ….it was dirty, sticky, glasses left on tables . Glasses were dirty . The place again stank of cigarette smoke. Had to walk through lots of locals all outside the bar smoking, it was awful . Couldn’t eat there for dinner or breakfast as smell awful . How the great standards of Premier Inn have dropped . Will never stay again .

Paid for early check in 11am to get sleep before a drive back home from landing from China. Housekeeping woke us after an hours sleep banging doors. I asked them to stop & explained why but he said it’s the middle of the day so tough! He then carried on banging (all it takes is a door wedge) so we checked out at 13:05 and drove home tired. Not worth the extra money & rude staff.
