Die schöne Hotelanlage liegt ideal, in der Nähe der Schiffanlegestelle für die Vogelbeobachtungen am Rio Frigo. Bereits im Restaurant sind zahlreiche Vögel zu bewundern und Affen turnen auf den hohen Bäumen im Garten. Ein schöner Pool, freundliche Mitarbeitende und gutes Essen machen den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm.

Por mucho la mejor opción de la zona, un verdadero lodge en todo sentido q además ofrece todas las actividades posibles en la zona en cuanto a tours, avistamiento de aves y comida deliciosa. Honestamente pensé que ir a Caño ***** sería alejarse del lujo y confort y ellos me demostraron lo contrario! Entender lo q significa servicio al cliente de calidad cuesta un poco hoy día y este hotel es jota 100! 👌🏻

I’d bet this is currently the best place to stay in the town. The rooms are nice with comfortable beds, strong AC unit, and clean. The resort is very well maintained and the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. It was a highlight of our stay to be able to talk to the resort owner and several staff members where they shared their stories and taught us about the area. A hidden feature of this resort is actually its food. The chef there is beyond talented and impressed us with every meal. My significant other and I are big foodies (I used to work in fine dining and we’ve had several Michelin star meals), and this chef knows how to cook. This would be the lodge I’d recommend anyone stay at when visiting the area.

Enjoyed a two-night stay at Cano ***** Natural Lodge as part of our ten-day birding trip. Were last here in 2018. Since then the lodge has undergone considerable remodeling. Rooms have been redone but most noticeable was the replacing of the dining/bar building with a huge pavilion housing the reception, bar and restaurant. IMO the metal roof is a major drawback given tendency for major heat despite the ceiling fans. However, our experience at the lodge was very positive. Our meals were excellent and our room was quite pleasant. Tastefully decorated/furnished with ac, mini-fridge, roomy bed, and a large shower and bathroom area separated from the rest of the room with a door on rollers/track much like a barn door. The sink had a stopper (many places don’t) and the bath towels were substantial! Staff were most friendly. Nice walkways, feeder in front of the dining area, well-maintained lawn with various trees and bushes and nearby forested areas proving habitat for birds and other wildlife. Besides several species of birds we saw opossum, howler monkeys and a sloth. The lodge is very close to the lagoon and the launch ramp to the river. We would certainly stay here again.

This is a lovely lodge in a beautiful setting. The staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to help. The food is exceptionally good and also very good value for money. After a month of travelling in Costa Rica, I would say it was probably the best food we had the whole trip.

Lovely setting and a great take off point to explore the wetlands. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Spacious and beautifully clean rooms set in well tended tropical gardens with monkeys in the treesWonderfully friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Great good value local food
