Very nice hotel, helpful staff, and clean rooms. I appreciated the daily servicing of my room, too! Stayed in room 314, had no issues with courtyard noise. Hotel is in a great location, walked to a couple restaurants about four blocks away, no problem at all. Would gladly stay at Alsace LA again!

The Alsace is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at, and I say that having traveled widely across the U.S., Europe and Asia. I cannot say enough about how comfortable, quiet and clean this hotel is. I loved spending time at the pool and in the tranquil courtyard. I often had both spaces entirely to myself! Definitely stay here if you want to relax or have a self-guided retreat. For the quality of this hotel, I thought the price was very reasonable. Service was always very friendly and consistent. The neighborhood is definitely up-and-coming, but I felt safe and there were great places to eat and shop within walking distance. The walk to the Metro was also pleasant -- you'll pass residential homes with lovely gardens before getting to the big road. I had no complaints about the free morning pastries (if you want something fancier, Tartine is a short walk away). The coffee was good! The room was so beautiful. Everything is exquisitely designed and felt very fresh and new. The king bed and linens were luxurious! I really loved my stay at this wonderful hotel.
