This was likely the best accommodation in the city of Los Algodones, but it was just okay. There was a strong type of disinfectant used in my room, which I think was specifically to offset a smoker, since there's no rule against it on the property. I think I may have preferred to smell the smoke, but I can't say for sure. It was very strong. The room was acceptable. It was clean. It had no carpeting, which I think was a plus. The air conditioner worked very well. That was also a plus. I just used the room to sleep for the evening, and it was fine for that purpose. I don't want to discourage anyone from this property -- it worked out fine for me. Another plus was I was given a ride to the border (you have to request it), and for that I was grateful. Use the amenity of rides around the area -- it isn't a big city, but if the temp is 100+, so it makes a big difference.

Had to get some dental work done and stayed here 2 nights. Bar and restaurant was a great convenience, the location was super convenient. Will stay here again if I have to come back.

Check-in was fast and staff is friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious, plenty of parking. Walking distance to medical centers and restaurants.

California Comfort Suites has my best rating for presentation, comfort, lovely and accommodating staff, close to everything, all the amenities. I will visit them again.

I booked an "executive room" here through *******. The check-in was very disorganized with my check-in interrupted a few times by staff taking incoming phone calls. When I was eventually checked in I was given a room. When I went to the room, I realized it was not the upgraded room I booked. I went back to the office and requested my upgraded room and was sent to another room. It was pretty much identical to the standard room with the addition of a small Formica table and a plastic chair. I had to leave a day early and could not get a refund for my second night. I was given a credit for a future stay. The refund problem seems to be an ******* issue. In the future, I would book directly through the hotel.

Everyone was so nice and I was able to get rides to dentist all three days which was very convenient.

Air conditioning was perfect. Restaurant dinners were very good. Great location to exercise & walk a few blocks downtown. Would definitely stay again.
