"My partner and I pitched a tent for three nights (Sunday to Wednesday) at Tent Site 8 and were more than satisfied with our experience. Despite it being the middle of the PNW summer adventure season, we only ran into a small handful of other adult vacationers on the path to the tents or at the main camp building and we all minded our own business. There was never a wait to use the restroom or shower at the main camp building, the hot water (boiling on tap !) never disappointed, and the tranquility was positively restorative. Considering how many obnoxious/unruly children we ran into just about everywhere else we went during our vacation in the San Juans, it was SUCH a refreshing experience to return to this beautiful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the peace and serenity with only the occasional bleating of sheep and clucking of chickens. Every morning of our stay, one of the farm cats would hear me filling my thermos with hot water at the camp building and come running over to greet me. My heart ! Their policies regarding children and dogs are not discriminatory; they simply allow a space for those who prefer serenity in a world brimming with chaos. This place is a rare find and we look forward to returning another time. Don't change !"
