Running a guest house is extremely hard work, a lot of people try and some even manage to check a number of boxes. However, when it came to Stephanie and Andrew, not only did they check the boxes (they really have thought of every little home comfort), but they seem to do it with such ease, and enjoyment, and it shows. You can see they love what they have created at Dolphin House, it shows in the rooms, the communal areas, the patio, the breakfast setup (one of the tastiest we've ever had), and especially in their relaxed and friendly nature. Highly recommend, can't wait to go back.

Lovely place to stay! Nice room, comfortable bed, everything we needed, even a tot of rum in the room for us, lovely touch! Plenty of choice for breakfast, you won't be hungry! A very short walk into the town or to the beach. Highly recommend, we will certainly book again!

We cannot recommend enough, where to start...Great location with amazing views of the river, a lovely beach within a 5 min walk. Some great pubs and restaurants close by. Plenty of surrounding areas to visit via car or the train station 2 mins away or regular bus services available too. The Guest House itself is absolutely stunning, the little touches by Stephanie and Andrew make such a difference (and they truly are fantastic hosts) our room was decorated lovely and cleaned to a high standard, breakfast was exceptional, a really good choice on the menu too. We had a fantastic stay, I didn't want to leave!....100% recommend.

This is an authentic and traditional top shelf guest house. There were many special touches, including real milk, not uht milk; a little bottle of brandy and two glasses in the room; magnificent view from the sun room. The breakfast was all I could have asked for. Above all the personal service from Stephanie and Andrew was personable and friendly. The whole experience restored my faith in high quality rest houses. A brilliant stay. A guesthouse overlooking the estuary, so fantastic views from the front. A nice covered terraced area for guests to sit and also enjoy their welcome tea and coffee on arrival. What a lovely idea! Hosts were very hospitable and helpful making sure guests felt welcome. Room on top floor had a fabulous view. Nice clean room with attention to detail - everything you needed down to box of tissues! Particularly liked the fresh milk put in the fridge every day for your morning cuppa etc. Biscuit choice too. Very comfy bed. Plenty of hot water, and toiletries. Plenty of sockets too. Breakfast was fabulous, Plenty of choice and flexibility. Beautifully cooked. Not scrimping on anything All high quality, specially lovely back bacon. Hosts were lovely. You could see they cared about their guests. Parking permits paid by owner enabled parking nearby. A great stay. Thankyou or making our visit so enjoyable.

Greeted by Andrew who served us coffee on a tray with a beautiful rose! Drinking it overlooking the river was a relaxing start to our two night break. Unfortunately we didn't have a river view room but the room we did have was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. It was spotless, we had chairs, a fridge, ample storage and a very comfortable bed. Fresh milk, biscuits and a selection of teas and coffee. Even a taste of local rum! Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and all done with a smile. Advice on local activities and restaurants was given and we were made to feel like family. Throughout our stay great attention was paid to detail and there was a personal touch. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for helping to make a very rainy stay special!
