Nice but lobby no good

Everything about this place was perfect! Starting with check in being super seamless. Free parking spots available for guests. We were checking in pretty late and they made it very easy. The location - right on the water! Couldn’t be more perfect. The room was so cute and cozy, we instantly felt relaxed. There is a communal fridge with stocked water and milk - so convenient! The breakfast is so good - you fill out your breakfast card the day before and walk down to the dining room and are served your meal choice. Really great food, and coffee, tea, cereal, toasts, and jams are all available. A great hearty start to the day. We also were served a complimentary cream tea in the afternoon that was delicious! On top of all of that, the service was amazing. We were only greeted with smiles and warm faces. The place was very clean and comfy, the perfect place to crash for a few nights in a cozy small picturesque town! 10/10

Very artistic photos on the adverts gave us a false impression so we were very disapointed upon arrival. Was expecting a charaterful, quirky 300yr old building but got a very dated grubby B&B. The entrance door was like walking into a seedy nightclub behind some shops. Decor throughout very shabby. Chipped paint, cobwebs and lack of attention to detail. The room had loads of character but the sash window broken ( had to prop open with a piece of wood) toilet didn't flush , shower yellowing and grimy. Paintwork is very slap-dash and chipped. Bedding clean though. Decided to stay as it was late and we knew we would loose our money. However breakfast was a pleasant surprise, gentle music, sun flooding in, food cooked well and yummy banana bread, just a little rushed.

My stay at Chestnuts B and B was phenomenal! The room was adorable, quaint, and fit the whole vibe of the Cotswolds. It looked exactly how the online pictures portrayed it which was such a plus when walking into the room. The actual space was so comfortable, I wish I could have stayed even longer! The staff were so kind and welcoming and it felt like a little home during my two day visit. The location was perfect and central. The room and experience totally matched the price. I would recommend this B and B to anyone visiting Bourton-On-The-Water — it is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed in! 11/10 experience!!

Aside from its perfect location, Chestnut Inn is a property with character. We had a room at the uppermost part and we enjoyed looking at the little trinkets, decors and displays on our way up. The floor creaks and we think it's part of what the Inn is. Our room was very welcoming -- cosy and surprisingly warm. One thing I'll miss about staying with them is the breakfast. The breakfast spread is simple yet very fresh and enjoyable. The prepared English breakfast was delicious and filling (egg was always cooked perfectly!). We'd certainly stay again.

A brief stay can sometimes leave the most lasting impressions! Chestnuts wonderful tranquil surroundings, great breakfast, and the courteous reception staff all contributed to a remarkable experience. Value for Money!

We started in the Double Deluxe room. Clean comfortable spacious and warm room. Great location. Very hospitable staff. Breakfast was adequate. Would stay again check - in as early as possible suggested as parking may be difficult at times.

Bourton-on-the-water , Had a wonderful stay 5-8th January 2024 for my partners 41st Birthday celebration. Lodgings were comfortable, cosy, very well located & included a superb Breakfast, hot & very tasty. Isabella, the hosts representative was brilliant, very helpful, well mannered, polite and extremely assistive, ( P.S hope you enjoyed your Magnum's :-) Do not expect The Savoy level of stay when paying Travelodge prices, Building is old and quirky, wonky doors, walls, floors, etc, but has much character, lovely spaces and is very clean, tidy and well serviced. Was a great base for exploring all the Cotswolds has to offer, would defo stay again. A few things to note, in busy summer months Bourton is absolutely rammed, excessively busy, beware ! From the end of the first week of January most businesses close for 2-3 weeks holiday, as open most of the Christmas 🎄 period, for Food shopping and supplies there's a great Co-op about 5 minutes walk from chestnuts use the alleyways its quickest route. ☆☆☆☆☆

Great location, room was clean with the most comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Breakfast was lovely with good quality ingredients & the staff were very welcoming & helpful,having free parking was a bonus as even out of season the village was busy, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will definitely stay here again❤️
