good location generally, 15mins walk from Finsbury Park station. No lift, there is a large spider on the door so rate 4/5 for cleanness.

He pasado un fin de semana maravilloso con mi mujer en este pub con alojamiento. Amabilísimo el personal, bonitas y espaciosas habitaciones y un buen desayuno incluido. La mejor opción para el norte de Londres. Sin duda volveremos. Comimos en el Sundayroast y nos pareció buenísima la comida.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brownswood. Room was lovely and well equipped , all the staff we met were friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent. We also booked for Sunday lunch with family and that was really good too. Highly recommended

We were so happy to find the Brownswood. Arrived after two weeks cruise of the UK, and found this welcoming spot just what we needed to unwind! Dita is such a fabulous host, with whom I communicated beforehand on several occasions regarding various details of our three-night stay. She is wonderfully gracious and helpful, and prepares an ample cold breakfast buffet. The two flights of stairs to the rooms are steep, but they are well-worth the climb! Modernly appointed and redecorated about six years ago with the help of a professional interior designer, the room we stayed in (Number Two) was roomy and had plenty of storage as well as a desk. We didn't have use for the tub in front of the old fireplace. The pub downstairs opens at 3, and features a large patio for dining outside. There is also a group of six shops adjacent: barber, fish&chips, café, pharmacy, and well-stocked grocery. Half a block away is a larger grocery, coffee shop. The nearby The Brownstone is well-located on bus lines 141 and 341 from the London Tower area, and not far from the Manor House tube station if you'd prefer to go via underground, however we liked seeing typical urban and suburban neighborhoods from the bus. Bus stops are less than 1/2 block away from The Brownswood in either direction. London transit is so easy to use with touchless payments via card, mobile, or even Apple Watch!

This was the second time we stayed in the Brownswood when visiting London. We enjoyed the spacious and comfortable room. friendly staff and ideal location. We enjoyed our stay first time that we booked again last weekend. On this location the welcome was first class, and again the room was bright and comfortable. However, Dita was an exceptional host. Firstly she recognized us from our previous visit and made us feel very welcome. Secondly, I had misplace my spare eyeglasses and thought I might have left them in the bar area. Dita checked this out when the bar staff arrived and emailed us that they were not found. On leaving she committed to thoroughly check the room and low and behold, they were found behind a dressing table and she rang us at the airport to tell us the good news. Such customer care is exceptional and we are looking forward to our next visit probable in November. Thank you all for making our weekend so pleasant.
