This was a beautiful property to stay at and Paul was an awesome host! The picturesque living room looking out at the mountains and farm animals was just perfect! David the ram was my husbands favorite!

Quiet peaceful cottage, a perfect two night stopover for some relief from driving these roads. The cottage is warm and comfortable with heaters and a wood burner fire. Good kitchen facilities for self-catering. There are walking opportunities and beaches close by. Paul is very friendly, helpful and accommodating, he is a great host.

Perfect, cosy retreat We really appreciated having the space to spread out and relax after a week on the road. We also appreciated use of the washing machine. Top tip: make sure you have supplies before turning up to stay, it's a long way from any shop!

We had 2 lovely days here thanks to paul the cottage was lovely and welcoming. The wood fire was great and the couple of days without tv was nice. Bring some cd,s for the player so you can enjoy the datk nights and music together. Heartly recommend this place.

We stayed in the cottage which was originally the Smithy’s workshop. It was great experience, Paul met us when we arrived and explained to the history and the various facilities. The cottage is nicely decorated and comes with everything you could want. We had a great overnight stay and would definitely recommend and come again. One tip, there is a skylight window which Paul does explain how to draw the blind on. However, we didn’t manage it! If you do mind the light coming through, then suggest you ask him to do it before he leaves you. It wasn’t great bother for us.

Well-appointed cottage that was once a stable block. Very nicely renovated with all the essentials that you need in a vacation home. Welcome pack (including a small bottle of milk!). Comfortable bed. Wood burning stove plus electric heaters. Set on its own behind the main house, it is visited by sheep grazing on common land and deer coming down to visit. Beautiful part of the country and well recommended for those wanting tranquility and calm (no tv!).
