We visited The Marriott Vacation Club’ Son Antem Resort on the island of Mallorca, Spain. We had a two-story, two-bedroom villa with a complete kitchen and full size washer and dryer. The resort is about a 20 minute drive from Palma and in the countryside. The resort is well maintained and the staff were very helpful. The onsite restaurant was good, the convenience store was adequate and the golf course was in great shape with the exception of the tee boxes which were over-seeded for the upcoming high season. We shopped at a local grocery store about a 10 minute drive from the resort. You will need a rental car when you visit. Overall it was a great stay.

At check in we were forced to supply a credit card to be granted access to the villa we had booked, since the membership owner of 20 yrs, accidentally my father, with whom I share a last name, hadnt fill up a “name change” form, as per "new corporate policy”…(Meanwhile a friend who went to her parents property in Paris was granted immediate access!) and I was threatened by a very Unhelpful clerck “who was just doing his job”, to be charged for the entire stay if I didnt provide it by the following day. The manager on site NEVER make an appearance, despite my requests and the entire staff was extremely unpleasant and uncooperative, so much so that I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown! Once charged for a one night stay, we finally managed to get into the villa to find out the garden was inhabited by a couple of cats, hens and a rooster, which EVERY SINGLE DAWN woke us up, despite the assurance the situation would have been taken care of, after the first complaint!! Too bad it is impossible to load videos to share the crows cheering us up at 5 oclock EVERY MORNING, forcing us to buy earplugs, while keeping the windows closed, despite the summer temperatures, to try and sleep! Hens and rooster were also free to scratch around the private pool area, despite the presence of a lifeguard, who simply pretended to shoo the away, forcing us to leave, make us wonder if in Son Antem fowls are as sacred as cows in India!?! Should we wanted to be surrounded by bothersome poultry, we would have gone to a farm, not to a 650€ a night resort and what would have happened if me or my guests were allergic to cats or worse suffer of Alektorophobia and have panic attacks because of the chicken??.. Has Marriott Management ever heard of "Avian Flu"???? After the horrible check in experience and the disturbing dawn wake up calls, not to mention the poultry pooping in the porch, not only we didnt receive any excuse from the property management and any kind of compensation for the inconvenience we had to endure, but the last day we were also REFUSED by a supposedly "manager on site" the request to check out just ONE hour later than expected!!

First time staying at this resort with a large group of 7 (we were in a 3BR villa). The resort is very close to the airport (15 to 20 min). The resort is pretty secluded so having a car to explore the island is ideal (unless you are an avid golfer). We decided to explore a new beach town every day we were here. Driving is pretty easy as there was not much traffic and essentially no traffic lights (until you get to Palma). Palma is about 15-20 min away (next to the airport). The villa was great and had everything we needed. Housekeeping came by every day and there is a mid-week tidy for owners. We even made use of the grill in the yard when we wanted a break from paella and grilled some burgers, steaks, fish (that we caught from the beach) and chicken legs. There are 3 restaurants on site if you include the one at the autograph hotel. We only ate at La Finca, which was very good. The marketplace is open 24 hours if you need to grab any essentials.

Our first week at this Vacation Club. It was great. Nice villas, small, calm swimming pools, great staff, very well maintained domain. We’re not golfers ut the “golf centered” set up of this Club never bordered us. One negative point: most of the days we were here it was not possible to have breakfast in the adjacent Marriott hotel.

Definitely recommend this hotel. Staff lovely, villa lovely, clean, all facilities provided, fully equipped kitchen. Not all pools were open as the time of year but the main pool was a hive of activity. Lots of sunbeds. Will defo return here in the future!

We love this place! We have been multiple times and love it every time we go. Staff are lovely, facilities amazing and lots to do nearby. There is an indoor pool and one outdoor pool for every set of villas. Understandably this isn’t open in the winter but amazing in the summer!

Stayed for a week with wife and later sister-in-law and niece. Check in busy but eventually got villa 614 and groceries from shop. Villa was warm on entry and had had a soft refurbishment of taps, TV, mats, lighting, socket (USB) curtains and bed heads throughout. Main recurrent difficulty was TV for which UK stations were constantly pixelated totally spoiling any viewing experience. Staff were called but didn't find fault but promised remote sensing from site's contractor - no visible difference detected. Amazon Fire Stick did work so have purchased up to date version for next visit in June. Yes will visit again but TV issues a major item for Marriott to solve please.

Golf bar shut for 2 days and without a car not much to do. Pickleball cancelled even though it was on . Over 18s jacuzzi has young children in and weren't stopped. Marketplace is over priced. Leisure staff were very friendly though. You must go in season or avoid or have a car and be willing to travel
