This is a really lovely hotel located in a friendly town. Great welcome and helped with suitcases up to our room. We were at the front whch was a bit noisy due to the heatwave and people chatting and drinking outside until about 11 as it was during the heatwave. Moved to a room at the back which was perfect. The manager and all the staff were very friendly and approachable, working hard to make the place work well. There is a good restaurant and a separate public bar with pool table as well as tables outside for drinks in the sunshine. Good selection of drinks and beer on tap as well as the usual fare, prices very good indeed compared with our home area. We stayed on a three day deal with a two course dinner, bed and breakfast for £420 which is excellent value. The food is very good with most of the meat sourced from the butchers almost next door. Evening meals ranged from standard pub fare to some really special items. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with a good choice and plenty too. The town itself is small but has everything you need with superb walking and driving countryside around. It is a very friendly area which deserves to be better known as there is much to see and do if you like the great outdoors. Overall, it is a lovely, small hotel with a warm welcome and great staff who were always on hand to help and advise or sort out an issue. Highly recommended

For three motorcyclists in our 60’s it suited us perfectly, Cooked breakfast, evening meal, a bar, a comfy bed and private parking, it ticked all the boxes. 😀

Old Worldly Hotel and Pub .Very reasonably priced.Great staff.Good food.Would go back again.

Pre-Christmas break We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It was comfortable and warm, and the staff were happy and friendly. Breakfast was particularly well cooked with good quality ingredients. Very good value for money.

Cosy room oozing with character.. The staff upon check-in (and check-out of course) were great.. helped us to our room, showed us everything we needed to know.. the room was spotless, luckily for me as I forgot mine, toiletries were provided, including shower gel and shampoo.. I was performing at a local event and was back late but that was absolutely fine and nice and easy upon getting back to my room. Will definitely stay again.

Shower was outdated and took lightyears to warm up. Suffered from cold shower. Cleanliness was poor. Breakfast was bland.
