There were twelve women in our party, we went with majestic, when we got there people took our cases inside and left them in a lounge where we had to find them and take to our rooms. When I walked into our room I couldn’t close the door because it was so small it was claustrophobic. The room was a single bedroom in which they’d taken the bedside table out and put another bed in, it looked out on a flat roof and fire escapes, you could smell the food from the kitchen, I went to ask for another room so they took us to room 109 which was a family room when we said we’d take that we were informed that it would be an extra £120, we didn’t ask for that room they offered it to us. When I went to reception later to ask something I was told that we had to pay the money straight away or the key wouldn’t open our room after 24 hours, which I took as a bit of a threat, so I paid the money straight away, when we had a good look at the cleanliness and the dirty sofa we went to reception to ask for the extra money we’d paid. The manageress was wearing a baggy pair of joggers and a baggy t.shirt, seeing her cleanliness and hygiene it stood to reason why she said the room was clean, the room was freshly decorated and carpeted, the bathroom was very small but newish, the bath mat had mildew on the bottom so I put a message in it asking for it to be removed from our room, there was a cream sofa in the bay which was black, I took a video and photos of it and showed reception, the following day someone went in the room and took one sweep across it and that has the nerve to tell majestic it was clean, in the Thursday we went on a day trip, when we came back our beds had been made but the floor hadn’t been hoovered and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. When I went to reception the receptionist apologised and cleaned the room while we were having dinner, the food was mediocre, salad every night, cooked dinner every night and an alternative, I had ham salad every night, dessert was a factory made cheesecake, chocolate cake or trifle. The dining room wasn’t very nice and had a foundry smell about, tables and chairs were marked and worn. We stay in a 4*hotel in Torquay for Turkey and tinsel with another coach company, which is immaculate, staff are really friendly, they serve a 6 course dinner and all you can think of including smoked salmon, kippers and continental breakfast for the same price we paid for this disgusting place

The view and location of hotel was outstanding. The kitchen and bar staff bent over backwards to help, were chatty and pleasant. Food was great and good value for money for what we paid. Rooms could have done with hoovering a little better but house keeping was generally good. Would go again but make sure to book a bedroom with sea view if possible as it's worth the supliment.

Where do I begin...absolutely disgusting. I would not keep a dog in our twin room. My friend and myself were so looking forward to our 4 day break away. If I wasn't with a coach party we would have vacated immediately, and found somewhere much better. Our bedroom and bathroom were an absolute disgrace. Dust & filth everywhere. Sink in bedroom, behind the toilet had never seen a wet cloth and same goes for sockets. Net curtains were mouldy and needed to be replaced. Carpet needed a good hoover. T.V did not work, covered in dust. Meals were awful. Pots of tea and toast bought out far too early and placed on table. We are for it all to be replaced so consequently doubling their work. I could go on and on. Just stay clear...DISGUSTING.

Was not the hotel we booked and several other people were the same.A shambles as soon as we arrived as we had to order dinner.Then we were put on the 3rd floor and the lift only took 2 people at a time.Tiny bathroom and the sink was in the bedroom over by the window.We went for our dinner at 6.30 and that was another shambles.The dining room was full and we waited ages for our meal which was terrible.After that we never went for a meal again we just ate out.

We have visited here twice now . Great value . Clean rooms . Warm . Friendly staff in the canteen and bar . Some of the other staff could take a leaf out of their books mind. Man walking around looking like the manager . No smile . No, hello . Jess in the canteen is a credit to the business. I hope she gets a payrise !! Budget friendly . Food was basic . But we enjoyed everything. Especially the breakfast . 😋

Returned once again to the hotel via uk breakaways, £99 pp dinner b&b two nights. Hotel is homely, warm and welcoming. Rooms also warm and comfy. Breakfast excellent. Evening Entertainment. Plus the added bonus of swimming pool. Staff are friendly, especially hats off to Laura restaurant supervisor. Thank you Chatsworth, we ll be back. Not 5 star but not 5 star prices. In all exceptional value for money.

Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good. The evening entertainment was very good. Only issue was the seating arrangement. If you did not get a seat early. At the front. Only had the back and sides chairs to sit. Where views were limited.

Went with Majestic coach tours. Hotel on seafront but very dated, bit worrying seeing entrance door held up by acro's. Our room was OK, nice views though in dire need of updating, cracked window held by clingfilm, tiny bathroom, curtains falling down, towels with small holes etc bedding was clean though. Breakfast was self serve & was tasty with good choices. Evening meals awful! Staff nice enough. Nightly entertainment OK with one exception Morgan Reeves who was outstanding! Short walk to shops.

30/10/23 Just returned last night from this hotel and it's so run down and filthy. I cant sleep in a bed that is against the wall so when we arrived I pulled my bed away from the wall as I usually do and to my horror found a very thick layer of dust all along the skirting board AND all along the carpet, so I then pulled the top of the bed away from the wall and that was even worse as the back of the headboard was also covered in a thick layer of dust, and again, all along the carpet and skirting board. This room hasn't been 'cleaned' properly in month's. Then I looked in the bathroom (which was tiny with nowhere to hang your towel) and there was mould on the tiles inside the shower cubicle and when the shower was used the floor was flooded as the cubicle leaked! I complained to reception the next morning as it was getting late and they said they would clean it that day. When we went back to our room later in the day all they had done was pushed the bed back up against the wall!!!! The floors are a massive safety hazard also as there are huge lamps and bumps everywhere which we almost tripped over several times. Window's are very old and dirty. Food was mostly bland and tasteless, I could've given the bacon the kiss of life and brought it back, the glasses for the juice were filthy and smelled of something metalic. Worse was they sat us right in front of the breakfast buffet so we were being nudged and coughed on by the people queuing, we asked to be moved but again this never happened. Never again

Very dated and dirty room,food awful,cold tea and coffee,two of our party were coeliac and they had no food for them and the cross contamination was everywhere, one of the worst places we have stayed in yrs.Staff hadn't got a clue about dietary conditions even though when we booked they new about our issues and said they could cater for this

Just back from a Majestic break and we were disappointed with the room and food at the Chatsworth House Hotel.The first room allocated on the third floor had a six inch plus crack above one of the twin beds and a couple of damp patches nearby so we were moved to a compact double on the fourth floor.This room had masking tape around the window and fluff hanging from the ceiling with water pressure so low it took twenty minutes to get three inches of water into the bath.Room superficially clean with the grooves in soap holder on shower caked in residue from previous occupants,top of wardrobe covered in dust and small bits of paint and fluff in corners. Breakfast was the better option food wise but even then there were problems.Tea and toast were laid out prior to opening meaning often cold and black pudding so thin and hard they could have been used as Draughts counters.The poor positioning of servery meant queuing and elderly people dodging each other whilst carrying hot food.The evening meal varied in quality and portion size with items sometime missing and the ever present potato either hard or cold.Any gravy,sauce or custard was often congealed or barely present. Safe to say that we will not be returning to this venue as there are many better options in the locality.

Food was served cold and under cooked. When you speak to general management they want to argue with you I was charged 4 different rates for the same drinks. Staff friendly and helpful. Need to address the the kitchen issue.

The room I was in was disgusting so dirty, floor full of hairs not been vacuumed for a long time hair dryer so dirty all cable full of dust and dust everywhere...room 355 needs manager to see it, the cleaners are not doing their job.

I read all the reviews before I went and therefore lowered my expectations. My friend and I were on a coach trip with Acklam’s. Luckily for us we got a room with a view, overlooking the promenade and seafront, which was spectacular. The room itself was small but room enough for us with two single beds. Surprisingly, the bathroom sink was in the main room, not the bathroom. Luckily, we have been friends for years and been on holiday many times together so it didn’t bother us too much. The beds were comfy and clean and the chambermaid made a lovely job every day, even folding our night clothes and placing them on our pillows. Fresh towels every day and our cups were either washed or replaced not sure which. As said in previous reviews the breakfast was excellent but the evening meal not so good. We found all the staff to be friendly and hardworking. The evening entertainment seemed to be popular but was aimed at the older people on coach trips. Bingo every night, £5 for a ***** of cards, but good prize money. I did go swimming once and found the pool to be much smaller than in the pictures and could have done with a good clean as the tiles were dirty. It was warm though. The whole of the hotel could do with being refurbished as it was looking tired but the location was absolutely spot on. Llandudno is a lovely place to visit. I would go back to this hotel as I did enjoy the visit. You get what you pay for as they say, just lower your expectations and go with the flow. We didn’t encounter any problems anyway and nothing of great concern that caused us to complain.
