Went for an old boys' weekend, we always try and choose a good hotel with plenty of facilities. This hotel is reasonably well situated but not as near the centre of Lisbon as we had thought. It looks like a typical concrete monstrosity from the outside but is however very clean and modern with very friendly and efficient staff. We spent some time at the rooftop bar! A good bar with excellent bar staff!! The only moan is that the so called swimming pool is really only for a dip and there are no sunbeds, the area is too small and we therefore did not use the pool. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk from the town centre and restaurants, etc. We would all recommend it however.
We were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Lisboa and would definitely recommend it. It's located steps away from Avenida da Liberdade. Very convenient with an eye-pleasing walk down to the main square or over to the Parque Eduardo VII. It was sparkling clean. We couldn't have been happier. We had two rooms, one with a king bed and a pullout in the other room, which my friend said was very comfortable. Large windows that opened to let in fresh air and ambient street sounds. The breakfast buffet had a bit of everything with eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, seeds and coffee. Across the street is a mini-mercado and a delicious restaurant called Honest Greens. Would recommend it too, especially if you're veg. Would stay here again.
Busy again after the pandemic it’s great to enjoy this hotel back to its old self - it was still good, but a bit sad and quiet, for my last visit a year and a half ago. Thanks to the concierge and other front of house staff particularly Filipe, José, Bruno & Jorge for their friendliness, humour, quick attention and excellent English - although once I’d revealed I’d been learning Portuguese for a couple of months, they were happy to help me practice. The location is unbeatable, the rooms distinctly luxurious, and restaurant Matiz (separate review to follow) as good as ever. The only slight criticism, Matiz while a lovely space cannot cope with peak breakfast demand for seats. Perhaps time to re-open the original basement breakfast room?
We chose this property mainly because of the location and brand recognition and neither disappointed. I wanted to close to the Marquis de Pombal as a starting point to be close to metro as well as walking distance to Rossio. It was also a consideration to be close to stop #1 for the hop on hop off buses which we often use to get around and explore a city or a trip out to Sintra. The property itself is clean and comfortable with a helpful staff. The rooms were clean and functional and would not hesitate to return. Only downside was that the street noise was a little higher than we anticipated but really was not a problem.
I have stayed in this wonderful hotel with my family recently and would like to share you my experience, hotel staff is extremely polite and really helpful, I felt it; I took a bigger room (Deluxe) and offer you tp do so, because standard rooms are too small; breakfast is wonderful, rich and tasty, lobby bar amazing with live music events; also there are 2 pools; The only discomfort was that, nobody from F&B made a good cappuccino for me, they were all terrible. I strongly reccomend this hotel to everyone business or family trip.
Excellent hotel in a great location! We were greeted warmly, in particular the gentleman who did the valet parking provided amazing customer service - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and well kept. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice both hot and cold - would definitely stay her again.
