Bairro Alto Hotel is centrally located with convenient access to many of the more popular atractions in Lisbon. The neighborhood around the hotel is very walkable and has many good shops and restaurants. What really sets the hotel apart though is the friendly staff. Everyone working at the hotel is pleasent, friendly and helpful. We felt well taken care of. This is our second time staying at the hotel and we can't recommend it highly enough

The Bairro Alto is the absolute BEST hotel in Lisbon, hands-down. In fact, I would say it is the best hotel in Portugal, and all of Europe, for that matter. Upon arriving, my family and I were treated like royalty. The attention that we received was personal, efficient, professional, while still being warm and inviting. Tatiana assisted with every single detail to make our stay comfortable—she exhibited the most impeccable form of hospitality I have ever experienced in any hotel. The 2 waiters named Francisco in the restaurant who worked at breakfast were incredible. Every single staff member, from the hard-working housekeeping team to the concierge to the purser made you feel as if you were the most important guest in the entire property. When I asked if there were eye pillows and the hotel realized they did not have them, someone sent away for one. That very evening upon returning to my room, a newly purchased eye mask was on my bed with a personalized, handwritten note. Apart from the top-quality service, the location of the hotel is perfect. The rooms are stunning—comfortable, quiet, extremely tasteful with the smallest details taken into account. Anytime we made a request, it was honored in a matter of minutes. If you are staying in Lisbon and you want to experience a little piece of heaven, look no further than this tremendous property. It will be the best money you ever spend on any hotel.
