Ottima accoglienza (familiare e domestica, ma sensibile e - nel complesso - compostamente raffinata), disponibilità e capacità di fare da "porta" per il territorio. Apprezzatissimo il biglietto di benvenuto (lo avrei preferito in gaelico con il classico «Fáilte» piuttosto che in Inglese che non sopporto, ma bisogna accettare - seppur a malincuore - che gli irlandesi non si siano ancora del tutto risvegliati dall'incubo coloniale britannico proprio a partire dalla lingua). Stanze piccole ma ben accessoriate, pulite e ordinate, letti comodissimi. L'aria forse un po' caldo-secca (problema cui si può ovviare facilmente visto che vi si trova pure un climatizzatore molto maneggevole). Gradito anche il locale caffè (offerto agli ospiti). Non abbiamo provato la sauna e/o la zona fitness (che sinceramente non fanno per noi, benché comprendiamo che un albergatore irlandese si senta un po' costretto a intrattenere in qualche modo i propri ospiti, considerando la piovosità endemica. Colazione eccellente ed espressa: a Limerick ho mangiato la migliore pancetta d'Irlanda (e del resto un tempo la città era famosa per l'allevamento suino, benché ora non si veda un maiale da un capo all'altro dell'isola). E ho assaggiato un cappuccino degno dell'Italia (non si dovrebbe chiedere un manufatto non locale, ma ho voluto provare!), seppur di dimensioni assai più generose del nostro classico. Peraltro molto ben decorato. Esperienza consigliabile e decisamente da ripetere.

From the moment we arrived to check in we got great vibes. The welcome and professionalism of Sharon was top class - a lovely lady. The room was nice and comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was so tasty - the Eggs Benedict with Burren smoked salmon we’re smashing. And again, the service was great. The place is well located- we will certainly be back.

This was our first time in Ireland, we traveled for three weeks staying at Hotels in Dublin, Galway and a B&B outside of Kilkenny and four days in Limerick at The Bedford Townhouse. We liked Limerick the best and out of the Hotels and Air B&B we liked The Bedford Townhouse the best. A smiling good natured Denice Brazil checked us in when we arrived, Denice explained everything about the Hotel to us along with informing us about the Hotels Cafe on the first floor where we had a delicious breakfast every morning along with a few tasty lunches. It only took a few minutes for Denice to check us in and a few minutes more to find our large beautiful room over looking the quiet pedestrian street below which was closed to auto traffic. On our first night at about 6pm we heard some soft violin music which we thought was coming from a radio but it turned out to be a man playing his violin just outside the front of our Hotel, he was so good that at the end of his 30 minutes of playing we figured he must have been a concert violinist. Everyone we met in our 4 days stay whether it was on the street, in our Hotel, in the local restaurants we ate at or to ask for directions were kind, decent, helpful people, we walked the scenic, litter free streets beside the Shannon River which was just a few blocks from our Hotel, toured King Johns Castle where a kind man we met there gave us a private tour, we also visited my distant ancestor Dominic Fannings Castle who was the Mayor of Limerick during the Siege of Limerick and was executed for refusing Oliver Cromwell's army permission to enter the city. When I return to Ireland I will be contacting Denice and booking a room at The Bedford Townhouse it is a 5 Star Plus in my books.

Went here for breakfast with my wife, ordecoffee while we we looked at menu, at a glance menu is not cheap, however we decided to order a Bedford breakfast for me and just poached eggs and brown toast for my wife, order given but waiter returned with " no brown bread" so she settled for sour dough after what seemed like forever it arrived and to be honest it was very disappointing portion sizes are best described as child like Food quality is very good but just not enough for what you pay We ordered two more coffees as breakfast was so long coming our coffee went cold One of the waiters came over to us before we paid to ask our opinion on our breakfast, he had just finished getting an earful from another customer. He very much agreed as to what we had to say, I went up to settle the bill and to my surprise we were charged for eggs and bacon even though we didn't order, when I questioned I was abruptly told they could not separate it....ridiculous The bill was €38 ...not worth it by far ...will certainly not be rushing back

Our family of 5 went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were there before 12 but were waiting nearly 10 mins before anyone came to serve us. They said we couldn't order from the breakfast menu as it was after 12 and lunch started at 12.30 so we could just have coffee! We left. No wonder there were queues outside nearby cafes while there were free tables in the Bedford cafe...
