Bathroom Very cold

Not happy after paying for the room on Wotif then not being allowed to check in because my drivers licence (interstate license) shows it expired - however has been renewed remotely on line! Whats even more upsetting is that i stayed there for 4 nights last week, yet the gaming lady at the sports bar (where you check in after hours) knew that id payed for the room last night and was aware that i was a guest there last week! I want a refund from from the Ferntree gully hotel!!!!!

Room and cleanliness was OK, but the pub next door was pretty lowbrow, and was noisy, and the guests and others carried on well past closing time. Also smoke from people smoking on the balcony was noticable in our room and when we asked the smoker to smoke elsewhere he pointed out ashtrays provided

We didn’t get the room we asked for which was a Queen and twin bed room we got a twin and single bed room for 2 adults and 1 child and 1 infant. The cleaning staff only replaced towels nothing else . It has no toaster or microwave and no bowls or cutlery the wifi and tv didn’t work either did the room service scanner and we were placed at the other end of complex away from all our family

internal standard was reasonably good, but,would be a good idea to replace the very flimsy toilet seats with good quality soft close seats. The outside areas were grubby, littered with rubbish, used plastic drink bottles etc, we liked the possums ( a mother and baby on mum's back ) who welcomed us back around 12-30 am. How about an area in the bistro where you can order from a menu, not an ' all you can eat ' buffet.

The success of our stay was fully dependent on who our next door neighbour happened to be. We had a door between our two rooms and there was ZERO noise insulation in that door or the wall between the two. We had a super loud party of three adults there who had a happy late night zoom with their early morning relatives in South America overseas, and one man who snored like a tractor day and night. I know some Spanish but thankfully I could not focus on what they were saying-- earplugs were not effective. The second night there was no family zoom, just the snoring. But it was as if they were in the room with us when talking and snoring. The third night the room was empty and we had a five star sleep. I'd recommend staying here during the week and ask for a room that has no adjoining common door. The owners seriously need to correct the noise insulation issue. There was a number on the wall to call 'in case of noise' but the problem was really the fault of the accommodation, not the guests, so I didn't use it. The reception staffperson was excellent! i wish I'd caught her name.

It would have been better if there were Airfreshners provided in the room and also the AC/Heater was not good it had bad odour
