Little old timey aint much in the area tho but it was clean and friendly service

The employees were friendly enough. Breakfast was mediocre. Pool was small but clean. Hot tub was nice. One HUGE issue we had was the bathroom mirror began to slowly become crooked throughout the first evening. By 6 thirty AM I woke up to get ready to go to the Horse Center. Maybe too much info but I sat on the toilet, heard a crackling sound and jumped up and caught that huge mirror as it was falling off the wall. So I put the dam thing on the floor and dressed and went to the front desk. The woman looked surprised and just laughed. No sorry, just laughed. The maintenence man came and fixed it. Bolted it rather than used the tape it had originally been up with. Again we never even got a sorry. What if it had fallen and actually hit me or my daughter? Then the iron leaked all over my daughters show shirt. Husband went to get a different one and we were told there were none. But they did come up with one. Next year it is Wingate for us.

Staff was on the phone with family when lobby was busy. Room smelled bad. The bathroom vent fan was on when we entered the room and I assumed it was for the smell. Window did not open at all so we could not get any fresh air. We only slept there for one night. My partner got a yogurt for breakfast that was expired by two weeks. I expected a cleaner facility for the price and rating. I do not see how their rating is not lower.

We had a great experience other than the lady at the front desk. Kept our deposit because she said she smelled smoke. Wasn’t us. She told me to come smell the room and I said I mean okay but we didn’t have anything. We had a small child and didn’t do anything. Had to rush out because we are on a schedule and she said “could just get the sheriff to smell it and tell you what it smells like” when she checked the room there was another lady cleaning the room next to it with the door wide open. Wasn’t us but sure didn’t have time to argue. Not worth it and they are just looking for something to keep your deposit. We also didn’t have any shampoo, conditioner or towels in the room. Had to go back and ask. Room did not look like it had been cleaned at all. Not impressed with the stay at all.

Horrible stay. Room smelled of urine. When asking front desk for a new room we were given a bottle of Lysol and told to crank the AC to circulate the air! Then the bedroom door handle fell off trapping 2 of us in room. Then sheets were wet and I had enough and demanded a new room. While this room didn't smell, half the lights were blown, used bar of soap and hair all over tub. Disgusting stains all over the desk chair which also has fabric that was torn all over. Looked like it was taken out of a dump. Mold on bathroom walls. For $200 a night I would expect MUCH better!

When I arrived at the hotel in the morning, because my flights were significantly delayed, the hotel claimed I was a no show and had no rooms, refused any refund and refused to provide any assistance. The woman at the desk told me "you can keep talking, but I still have no rooms today or tomorrow."

Hotel is not a 8.5 rating as given on this site. Pool was closed. Hotel room outdated and in poor condition. Moldy food at breakfast buffet. Not worth $180 a night.

The property needs a refresh. Our bathroom was old. The tv didn’t work. The remote didn’t work. The ac was loud. And the WiFi worked on and off.

The bed was not made, dirty sheets were in the closet, the rest of the room had not been cleaned! Completely unacceptable to be checked into a room like that, and surprising for this hotel.
