Nort Bode Apartments

Dawn was the most congenial hostess. Apartments were spotlessly clean, well appointed and excellent location. 5/10 mins walk to the town centre and the same to the bus station and museum. Dawn went above and beyond and even posted back my wallet I left behind and would not accept any recompense! Fabulous stay.

Very clean and well appointed apartments. Great access to centre of Lerwick and about 30 minutes from Sumburgh Airport. Stayed on business and we had tea and coffee facilities, good hot showers, desk to work at and the beds were very comfy. Towels and all toiletries included (shower gell, shampoo)

We found our rooms here magnificently furnished, freshly remodeled with all the appliances, plus a comfy couch, a writing desk in the bedroom and even a collapsible dining room table for an extended stay. The beds even had not just a duvet, but sheets! This was, in short, a magnificent suite. We found the proprietor – who lives on-site – extraordinarily friendly. The rooms are named after Shetland beaches for extra local color. We were also able to store luggage under the stairs, which was super helpful when we got in early in the day. Whether staying for two nights or a month, this is an excellent place to situate yourself to explore Lerwick. When we come back this way, we will absolutely be staying here again.

We all had a Fantastic stay, very clean and plenty utensils to use! The hot chocolate was lovely! Will be booking again. Great location and great size for the 4 of us. The Shetland soap was lush! Thank you very much!

There was only availability for half my stay in Lerwick at the Nort Bode which was the one downside of a great place to stay. My apartment had a small but nicely furnished double bedroom and a well laid out kitchen/lounge with a bathroom (shower only) between them. The bed was very comfy and the since the bedroom is at the back completely quiet. The lounge/kitchen was well equipped with a sofa, chair, TV, a range of tables and a kitchen range including a full cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. There was also everything you could want for cooking, eating and housekeeping; all in great condition. The whole place was spotless as well, so I'd highly recommend it. It’s a very short walk from the bus station and the harbour, and there is a good sized Co-op supermarket about 15 mins walk (five mins drive) if you want to eat in.

There is only one word for this - WOW!!!!! I have never in all my years as a self-catering traveller seen so much care being taken to ensure that all one's needs are met. We stayed in "Spiggie" and everything was perfect. The location was in the centre of everything, while being quiet as well. The planning of the amenities was first class (both kitchen electrical sockets had USB sockets) and in the bedroom was a cooling down mat for ladies to rest their straighteners/curling tongs. What's not to like? Desk space in the lounge as well. I could go on and on....the kitchen utensils were comprehensive and all equipment was excellent quality. We were fortunate to meet the owner, Dawn, who was niceness itself! The whole building is run meticulously and all needs are catered for. If one ran out of anything like dishwasher tabs, there is a laminated list supplied, with a pen, so that you could put your list out the night before and the next morning your requirements would be met. I have not seen that before... To be honest, I cannot recommend the place more highly and to emphasise that you really do get what you are paying for. Take you TV subscriptions with you - the television in the lounge is connected! Soap is supplied from the Shetland Soap Company and it's great to use. This really is a special place!!
