Une jolie découverte dans un endroit (maison et village) fabuleux avec une hôtesse charmante qui prend le temps avec nous et a plein d'anecdotes à raconter. Le petit déjeuner sur mesure est délicieux, les chambres sont confortables, le cadre extérieur très agréable. Nous avons vraiment aimé notre passage à la Hartley House, si vous passez dans le coin n'hésitez pas à vous arrêter chez Kate, c'est une hôtesse merveilleuse à l'hospitalité irlandaise. Merci!!

Kate is truly a wonderful host. A real down-to-earth lady, nothing too much trouble, very kind-hearted. We enjoyed time in front of a peat fire in the exquisite sitting room. The house is impeccable, lovely views & surrounds, great breakfast, and Kate does all of the work herself!..with a heart and a half, and a smile. Fantastic lady.

Kate is a gracious hostess. The accommodations are lovely and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, set in a formal dining room. The eggs were cooked to perfection. You will need a car or bike because the house is not in easy walking distance to town.

We stayed 2 nights in Hartley House it is. a beautiful period home, Kate warmly welcomed us. Kate goes above and beyond making sure you are comfortable during your stay, even made us coffee in the evening whilst we enjoyed relaxing in the sitting room with the open peat fire, piano and guitar (if we wanted to play, we were welcome Kate told us) The bedroom was spacious, elegantly furnished in stunning quality antique style, the views from the large windows of the trees and garden were lovely. The bathroom is very well appointed and shower works wonderfully. The breakfast was quality and kept us going. Kate was delightful and told a good tale and listening to a good tale in return, and we enjoyed a bit of banter with her. Memorable place to stay whilst we did a bit of family history searching in the Roscommon area (even knocking on farmers doors - but that's another tale!)

Amazing experience. Great host. Great food. Bed is spotless and rooms are so comfy and clean. Its a nice quiet area to go and just relax. When we were stuck to get into the village. The host dropped us in and was totally amazing. She even made us boxty 😍. Thanks so much for having us. Xx

From the drive leading up to Hartley House and our first steps into the foyer we knew we were in for a treat. We had such a warm welcome from the owner Kate who gave us a tour of the house and showed us to our fabulous room with delightful garden views. Large bright beautifully decorated bedrooms with lovely comfortable beds. The house is beautifully furnished throughout with great attention to detail, making the bedrooms, lounge and dining room so very comfortable to relax in. The breakfasts are just amazing and certainly set you up for the day. The location is great, a few minutes drive to town centre. Kate very kindly dropped us into town one evening as we were running late which was very much appreciated. The house is immaculate and so tastefully decorated with a lovely ambiance. We were all very sorry to leave such an outstanding guest house but hopefully will be back. Thank you once again Kate.

What a hidden gem. Absolutely amazing from arriving to leaving! Kate genuinely could not do enough for us. Room large and comfy. Magnificent lounge to use. Breakfast to die for and cooked fresh to order. We have 3 weeks touring Ireland and this is by far the best find. Cannot recommend enough. If you are in this area see if you can stay here. Thanks Kate once again for everything.

Kate rescued us when we were lost. Came to town to lead us to her home. Beautifully decorated; Wonderful food; Kate is SO welcoming and generous; this place was a revelation; Kate is so smart and accomplished; We really lucked out; Stay here!!
