Trotz meiner expliziten Bitte um ein ruhiges Zimmer - bei der Buchung UND beim Einchecken, wurde mir ich oberhalb einer Klimaanlage?platziert. Lautes Rauschen und Brummen die ganze Nacht. Ich konnte leider überhaupt nicht schlafen in diesem Hotel!!

I love Motel One. Normally. But this particularly premise won‘t be my first choice next time. The gentleman, who checked me in, was kind of distant, hardly polite. They still have time slots for breakfast, full hour only, which, he explained, is due to the fact that they have more rooms than space. However, they do have a quite nice bar on the 8th floor, in addition to the much less charming „lounge“ for breakfast in the 7th floor. Why don‘t they use both rooms, when they are sold out (e,g,during the book fair)? The hotel is also extremely noisy in terms of road traffic. It is located at a huge intersection, and about 8 (eight!) ultra-noisy tram lines cross on both sides of the hotel. Even on the 4th floor, and with my windows closed, I only finally fell asleep sometime after 1 a.m., when the last tram drove by, and woke up at 5 a.m., when the first tram of the day made itself heard. My request at check-in for a room at the 7th or 8th floor was ignored by the man I mentioned above. He also just gave me a voucher, with which I was sent to the 8th floor to pick up my complimentary bottle of water, while my colleague, who was checked in next to me by a very nice lady, received a bottle right away. I got mine only, when I asked, why I had to go up to the 8th floor, whereas my colleague got her water over the counter. Last but not least I usually use the Motel One stairways instead of the elevator, even if my room is located on the 6th floor or even higher. And especially, if there are only 3 small elevators in a hotel with - allegedly - 150 rooms (the reason given for the breakfast slots). However, in this hotel there are no stairs that get you to the lobby on the ground floor. I was told would have to exit in the Edeka Supermarket next door, go out into the street, and then enter the hotel again. Strange. Anyway, since there are 2 more Motel Ones in Leipzig, which are both great, nice and with a charming staff, I doubt that I will ever pick the „Post“ again.

Tolles Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Die Rooftop Bar ist ein Highlight. Super Lage, mit rabattierter Tiefgarage. Nach kurzem Fußweg mitten im Zentrum. Frühstück ist völlig ausreichend. Zimmer ordentlich und modern. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Wer Motelone kennt findet sich hier zu recht… Übliche moderne und ansprechende Ausstattung. Speziell das Motelone Post: zentrale Lage fussläufig zum Bahnhof Innenstadt etc. Direkt am Gewandhaus. Tolle Rooftopbar mit schönem Blick. Die Zimmer jedoch sehr klein… aber zum Schlafen vollkommen ok

Schönes Hotel, zentral gelegen am Augustusplatz. Der Bahnhof ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Zimmer sind sauber und modern eingerichtet mit Garderobe und auch Flat Screen. Bad ist sauber und hat eine angenehme Größe. Die Zimmer welche zur Straße gelegen sind, sind gut Schall isoliert und man nimmt die Autos Nachts nicht war. Immer wieder gern.

Leider wurde das von mir gebuchte Zimmer anderweitig vergeben. Sehr ungünstig, da Leipzig ansonsten ausgebucht war und ich spät angereist bin. Obwohl Kontaktdaten hinterlegt waren, wurde nicht einmal angerufen. Das Personal war ebenfalls nur mäßig hilfsbereit.

Der Preis entscheidet. Gute Lage, gutes Bett, gutes Design. Was mir fehlt: Gardinen! Gegenüber ist ein anderes Hotel/Büros und Fitnessstudio. Ohne Gardinen kann man in die Zimmer schauen. Entweder muss ich auch tagsüber die Vorhänge geschlossen halten (also das Tageslicht aussperren) oder ich kann mich im Zimmer nicht so frei bewegen, wie ich das möchte. Kühlschrank/Minibar, Bodylotion, Schuhlöffel. Nix da! Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer oder wenigstens in der Hotellobby kostenfreies Wasser oder Tee. Das ist inzwischen sogar bei 3-Sterne-Häusern üblich. Nebenan ist ein neues Hotelkonzept. Dort findet man all das, was mir bei Motel One fehlte. Wenn der Preis stimmt, nehme ich nächstes Mal das Nachbarhaus.

Sehr gutes Stadthotel: Zimmer komfortabel, Bett sehr gut, Badezimmer sehr gut. Highlight ist die Rooftop-Bar mit dem Blick auf den nächtlichen Augustusplatz.
