Worst hotel I've ever stayed at, dirty, no tv, I was put on the 3rd floor and I'm in a wheel chair and theres no lift. Staff are miserable and unhelpful. Never again.

Oh my god, I booked this hotel last minute after my work plans changed and I needed somewhere cheap to stay. £59 I thought "great" the reviews were bad but I'm working so I don't expect luxury. I walked through the door of the hotel and stepped over all the broken tiles in reception. A man wearing a tracksuit came to give me my key then asked for my ID. He then took a picture of my driving licence on his own personal mobile which I didn't feel comfortable about. Walking up the stair all the wall paper was hanging off the walls and carpets have clearly not been hoovered this year. The room I was given didn't have a lock barrel, just a hole in the door. I went to reception and asked for another room but was told the only other room they have was locked and they have lost the key. I had just paid £8.20 for parking in the car park next door. I quickly booked the days Inn which was 4 miles away and double the cost. I arrived in my room at 22.30pm. Trading standards need to investigate this hotel as I'm sure they are breaking a lot of laws.

We booked this hotel as it was reasonably priced and we wanted somewhere close to the centre of the city so we could explore. We arrived at the hotel, driving past there were a couple of people at the front of the hotel slouched over the steps etc smoking, we pulled in to the car park where we noticed a smashed up Mercedes’ car, bottles and literally all over the floor and certain things that just looked out of character. We sat in the car park for a short while so I could re look at the hotel. The initial photos we saw online seemed to be false as the reviews on trip advisor and another site were horrendous, mould everywhere, everything broken, dirty, sag buts everywhere (as we’re they all at the front of the hotel). We did not feel safe to go in, it was just disgusting and scary. We had to find an alternative hotel to stay at which cost us more. We have since spoken to the company we booked with who have spoken to the hotel and they are refusing refund or any liability. This hotel needs to be shut down or some serious work and guidance needs to be put in place to make it safe for future guests.
