"While La Piazza Hotel and Convention Center boasts a promising venue, our wedding experience was marred by a series of unfortunate mishaps and miscommunications that left a lasting negative impression. Contractual Errors and Lack of Responsiveness: Our initial interactions with the hotel staff were concerning. The contract for our bridal and groom suites contained incorrect dates, and despite repeatedly pointing out these errors, the staff seemed reluctant to rectify them until we provided screenshots. This lack of attention to detail and responsiveness set a worrying precedent for our wedding preparations. Delayed Meetings and Lack of Hospitality: During a crucial meeting with our wedding suppliers at the hotel, we were made to wait for an hour due to a staff break. This inconsiderate delay, coupled with the absence of complimentary refreshments, was a disappointing display of hospitality, especially given that we had chosen their venue for its supposed convenience. Menu Concerns and Food Allergies: Just days before our wedding, we were informed of a shortage of ingredients for our chosen menu. This lack of preparation, despite having booked the event well in advance, was deeply frustrating. Additionally, the hotel's inability to accommodate our food allergies, a matter we had been transparent about from the outset, raised serious concerns about their commitment to guest safety and satisfaction. Unprofessional Communication and Mismanagement: The hotel's communication practices were consistently unprofessional. We received direct messages about last-minute changes to our preparation venue, bypassing our wedding coordinator. This resulted in unnecessary confusion and inconvenience for our entourage. Additionally, during the ingress of our event stylist's team, the hotel failed to provide essential amenities like fans and water, subjecting our vendors to harsh working conditions. Uncaring Attitude and Lack of Empathy: The hotel's response to our concerns about the lack of ventilation in the event hall was particularly disheartening. Their staff member's indifference to the discomfort of our team and their insistence that turning on the AC would incur additional charges demonstrated a disregard for basic human comfort and a lack of empathy. Rude Staff and Prioritization Issues: During our checkout, we experienced firsthand the hotel's preferential treatment of local celebrities. The front desk staff asked us to wait in line while they attended to a celebrity's photo requests, showcasing a clear lack of respect for all guests. Facilities and Amenities: Our suite's bathroom door didn't close properly, and the doorknob was installed backward. These seemingly minor details added to the overall sense of neglect and disrepair. The lack of complimentary slippers and limited access to streaming platforms on the TV were further disappointments.
