"First things first, the Santa Marina is at the top of a very steep hill and the hotel’s drive is even steeper! We knew this before we booked but we didn’t anticipate just how tough the walk up from the village of Agios Nikitas would be in July in the middle of a heatwave! But the hotel is worth the walk. Set in lovely surroundings the hotel is peaceful and quiet. There’s a lovely large pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. That being said the sunbeds have seen better days and need updating and the area round the pool needs some tlc – a little **** wouldn’t go amiss! The pool was also very warm and wasn’t too refreshing when taking a dip but the 2 showers were lovely and cool. There’s a pool bar which opened around 10:30 after breakfast finished and didn’t close until late. The prices were ok, €4.70 for a large draught Mythos, around €4 for a freddo cappuccino. The bar snacks were quite reasonably priced we thought - €6 for a chicken club which comes with chips and is enough for 2. There was also a large pizza for about €4 which would feed an army. Small bottles of water were €0.60. There’s also a lifeguard on duty – Yannis who was very nice and Antonios was the barman who loved making cocktails. The hotel has an international clientele with hardly any Brits which wasn’t a bad thing! There are no sunbed wars and most guests tended to only stay at the pool for a while and then they were off in their cars exploring the rest of Lefkada. Our bedroom was perfectly adequate with a lovely little balcony that overlooked the village and the sea below. The aircon was included and looked brand new and the bathroom was very modern with a corner shower cubicle with sliding doors and a proper shower that you didn’t have to hold in one hand! There was also complimentary shampoo and shower gel. There was a wardrobe and safe and a dressing table with mirror. The French doors to the balcony seemed very new and also had shutters so everything felt very safe. The beds were also really comfy. The balcony however didn’t have any washing lines which I think would be a useful addition. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels and I think the bedding were changed on a daily basis. I cannot fault the cleanliness of this hotel and the cleaners worked tirelessly. Mina looked after our room and she was amazing. Breakfast was good. There was something for everyone. This ranged from fruit (mostly tinned peaches, prunes and dried apricots) to pastries, to fried eggs, omelettes, sausage, beans, fresh tomatoes and feta, cereals, homemade cake and the obligatory toast machine! The juice was from a machine which obviously wasn’t fresh and another machine for hot water and coffee. Now for the negative. The dining room had a lovely large terrace with amazing views but you couldn’t sit outside as it was infested with wasps. I don’t know if this is normal for July (we normally holiday in September) or if the heatwave had exacerbated things but they were everywhere. In the e"

"As the title of this review implies this hotel was perfect for us. The location is beautiful, I could not believe that I was privileged enough to wake up the that view every morning. The rooms are basic but sufficient and are kept spotlessly clean. Clean towels every day and clean sheets every other day. The beds are comfy and there is enough space to store clothing. The breakfast is a cold buffet but with plenty of variety, lots of pastries, cakes, bread, cold meat, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, Greek yoghurt and a big variety of fresh fruit. Endless tea coffee and fruit juice. It is also served between 8 and 11 which is a perfect window. Food served during the day is good but there is also a lovely bakery just across the road. The pool is perfect and easy to get in and out of if you have any mobility problems. There is always plenty of sun beds, especially on the grass but the comfy ones by the pool go quickly. The sea is lovely once you are in but very stony so need sea shoes. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance and bus stops outside to get you to Nidri or lefkarda. Staff are helpful and friendly. This is a quiet hotel in a quiet part of Lefkas which was perfect for us, we have loved or holiday and will definitely return."

"Very nice resort with amazing private beach, the hotel was full capacity but it never felt too busy we could always find place by the beach. We stayed in a superior suite family of 4 which was very comfortable. Rooms were clean and been serviced everyday. Couple of points that could be better for mgt. to consider More coffee machines or faster ones during breakfast as it was taking forever with long queues every morning we stayed for a week and it was a same everyday. Other recommendations will be get some new hair dryers please the ones in the rooms are from the 90’s and didn’t work all the time and when worked it was taking forever to dry. (3 girls in family) it was taking like 45 mins. Over all very nice experience"

"We spent a great time there in June 2023, and it was fantastic! We had so much fun being on top of Nydri since the location is on the mountain - was just amazing to see the see from our balcony and experience a splendid view to the boats and ships that pass through the sea. It was really worth spending 9 days there, the host is super nice and organized: they offered us a nice breakfast and they took care of us. There were Eirini and Marina and the two ladies were super nice and helped us whenever needed and promptly. The apartment is cleaned on a daily basis - the cleaning ladies are super polite and one of them used to bring us the breakfast until our room and it was generous from her side to wait until we go outside in order to clean the apartment, without disturbing us. The check-in and the check-out were very easy, since they are always inside the location. They even gave us the sun umbrella to take to the beach during our stay! When we had a tour in Nydri, we found out that we have been lucky choosing this place and we totally recommend it :)"

Lefkas Petra is the perfect place to stay in if you want serene calm and peace, on walkable distance from the more busy and bustling core of the village, yet have an amazing view from your hotel balcony over the village and the sea. The rooms have everything you need, including a quite large fridge, and are always neatly kept and clean. The balcony is worth spending time on, be it at dawn or sunset. And the poolside terrace offers a very calm and private kind of downtime. Most of all, the best in class experience at Lefkas Petra is because of the owners. Ioanna, Vassili and their wonderful staff member Marina know how to show true and professional hospitality towards their guests. I felt personally welcomed, and half the joy of the stay was thanks to them. They put their time and effort in to help, assist, guide and have conversations with you. I am forever grateful to them for this, as this has been my first visit to Greece. So once again, I will truly recommend Lefkas Petra to other visitors any time!"

"My daughter and I stayed at Epiphany for a much looked forward to mother -daughter trip. Epiphany is just 100% perfect, such wonderful and thoughtful hosts who add so many special touches to the villa. Simply fantastic breakfasts delivered to your poolside, recommendations for eating out (fantastic) and beaches to find (awesome). The pool is dreamy with lounging areas around and an outdoor fireplace which only adds to an already pretty perfect ambience. I would advise a hire car as although there is a taverna/shop in walking distance realistically a car means you can explore all the beaches. All in all probably my best villa stay ever!"
