Un’appartamento delizioso in un palazzo del 500. In dotazione tutti i servizi , cucina completa di tutto, materassocomodissimo, il nostro piano terra poteva anche usufruire di un giardino interno molto curato. Insomma tornare a casa dopo una giornata intensa di lavoro era un piacere.

Palazzo Guido è una meravigliosa dimora storica che ti accoglie e ti permette di comportarti come se fossi a casa. Stanze meravigliose, ho avuto modo di vederne più di una e tutte sono curatissime, spaziose e pulite. Geltrude è una meravigliosa padrona di casa e tutto il suo staff è gentile e cordiale. Ci hanno aiutate in tutto, la mia collega è stata poco bene di salute e che dire, ricevere le medicine nel vassoio d’argento è stato sicuramente top! Ero li per lavoro ma mi sono sentita in vacanza. Bravissimi tutti, spero di tornarci presto!

Con la sensazione di essere a casa… Palazzo Guido, elegante residenza nobiliare del XVI secolo, oggi dimora storica di charme nel cuore di Lecce, è un luogo di memoria e di ricordi, posto bellissimo in cui si conservano piccoli tesori di famiglia. Eleganti lampadari di cristallo, arredi di pregio, pavimenti antichi, vecchi album di cartoline d’amore a colori, arredi e tappeti di paesi lontani, e decine di cornici, quadri e fotografie raccontano la vita di diverse generazioni a confronto: nonni, figli e nipoti della famiglia Guido impreziosiscono ogni angolo di questa dimora. Un’accoglienza speciale quella di Geltrude, perfetta padrona di casa che mi ha aperto questo “scrigno” raccontandomi la storia della sua famiglia. Palazzo Guido è un boutique hotel che ha conservato l’atmosfera di un tempo, con tutti i comfort di una casa di lusso nel cuore di Lecce da vivere in totale intimità, lasciandosi coccolare dalle attenzioni quotidiane e abbandonandosi alle buone abitudini e ai dolci profumi del passato. Le camere sono splendide. La mia Suite Alcantarine aveva un affaccio stupendo, mi sono goduta la colazione in cambierà con una vista stupenda assaggiando tante delizie homemade. Il palazzo ha anche una piccola spa com vasca e bagno turco sempre aperta, anche di notte, dove rilassarsi dopo una giornata di sole e mare o di passeggiate nel Salento.

Ho alloggiato nella dependance per un periodo abbastanza lungo durante una trasferta di lavoro, è raro sentirsi così accolti e a proprio agio trascorrendo tanto tempo lontano da casa. Geltrude e il suo staff sono sempre reperibili, disponibili e cordiali. Il letto è comodissimo, pulizia sempre impeccabile, il servizio di lavanderia sempre puntale. Per descrivere la colazione non basterebbe un paragrafo, non solo per la qualità del cibo, ma anche per la cura di ogni minimo dettaglio dalle apparecchiature all'allestimento del buffet. La posizione è la migliore che si possa desiderare all'interno del centro storico di Lecce, tutto a portata di mano, eppure in una zona che riesce a rimanere molto silenziosa nelle ore notturne anche in un periodo di alta stagione. Consiglio vivamente questo alloggio in cui non vedo l'ora di tornare

We stayed in the comfort of Palazzo Guido which still has the feeling of what it was - a family home on a grand scale. We had a beautiful and spacious room with an extremely comfortable bed and a big seating area. Geltrude is an exceptional hostess. So welcoming and helpful. She gave great insider tips to help us plan our days and find the right restaurants. Highly recommended.

5 nights in Palazzo Guido was like a romantic step back in time. The palazzo is beautifully preserved, its common rooms all have period furnishings and the array of photos and other objects given them a warm welcoming feel. You truly feel like you are living in a chateau. All rooms and apartments are different. We stayed in the Alcantarine suite, which was absolutely lovely. Service is discreet and courteous. Signora Geltrude is most welcoming. Breakfast was fulsome, with a great variety of torte, cornetti, meats, fruits and jams. Apperitivi are available in the Palazzo, as are other « snacks » should you wish to pre-order them. The Palazzo is located near Porta Napoli, and we were able to easily find free street parking just outside the Porta. Two tips: (I)We had been forewarned by Signora Geltrude that the Alcantarine suite might not be a good choice for light sleepers as it has two beautiful large windows overlooking a piazza, occupied by two restaurants having terraces. On a busy night, it can be noisy (especially clean up time after the restaurants close). Something to keep in mind when booking - other suites have windows on the inner court and are probably more quiet. (II) if you enjoy the beautiful long-standing tradition in Italy of wonderful caffè (read « expresso »), you’ll need to go around the corner « al bar » to get one from a barista. The palazzo serves expresso made from coffee machines that use single dose capsules. That just doesn’t cut it. With those two caveats, I would happily stay at Palazzo Guido on a return trip to Lecce!

Palazzo Guido is a beautiful boutique hotel in an area of Lecce which is close walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and sights. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom room with living room, dining area and kitchen was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The hotel has a 24 hour hot tub and sauna which is very relaxing, and a great feature since it’s always available. The common rooms of the Palazzo are beautifully decorated, such as the dining area and reading room. Most important is the customer service during our stay. The staff is wonderful, especially Geltrude the owner. She is on site all day to assist you in anyway possible, such as restaurant reservations and excursions. Geltrude goes out of her way to make every guest feel at home and special. Our stay here was really amazing and we can’t wait to return. If you are traveling to Lecce, do not hesitate to consider your stay here!

This elegant palazzo consists of several palatial rooms and apartments serviced by very helpful staff and our gracious and energetic host, Geltrude, whose recommendations and advice made our stay so much more enjoyable. The location new the main gate of the old city was perfect for us to venture both in the old city and elsewhere to other towns. Breakfast was included and scrumptious. Lots of choices, including fresh fruits, meats, pastries, cakes and cereals. Delicate and omelets or scrambled fresh eggs filled with local hams, cheese and peppers were made to order each day. The staff made delicious cocktails every evening and these were served on one or other of several terraces or ornately restored sitting rooms. A range of quality wines are available to buy per bottle or glass. Beds are very comfortable and facilities including the spa and a variety of massage services of a high standard. We had a relaxing and delightful stay and thank Geltrude for her dedication and energy in making it so. Michael and Mary Brisbane, Australia
