Holiday home Merle has an area of 80m². On the ground floor, you will find a living room with a flatscreen TV and a bedroom with a French bed (140x200). The living room features a fully equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and a dining area. The toilet and shower are in one room. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, each with 2 beds; the largest bedroom has a balcony. From the living room, you have access to the backyard, which is enclosed by a hedge. The garden has space for barbecuing. The washing machine is located in the storage room, which is accessible from the outside. The holiday home has its own parking space and is less than 100 meters from the playground. (Surroundings:) Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts. The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog. Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘de Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area. Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here. In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar. Another three restaurants are even closer to your holiday house. Some of them offer spectacular lake views. Other good options to enjoy the local seafood cuisine are the sea harbor of Lauwersoog at the northern side of the lake,
