The worst experience I have ever had at a ******. I was treated unjust and will never return. My partner and I were playing the automated craps and it malfunctioned and we did not receive our payout, despite it malfunctioning a half hour prior and we did receive the payout at that time. The team were unsure what to and brought in Matt the manager, whom decided it was best to kick us off the ****** floor for complaining along with his security lead Cynthia. We are guests at the hotel and were told to go to our room, not even allowed to go smoke outside of the building as they had two security come outside to escort us in. Told I was intoxicated by Matt which clearly I am not as I am writing this now, an hour or so after the so called incident. Honestly, so bad. Don’t go! Matt is compensating for something much smaller. Will follow up with Boyd’s but will definitely never return to this property.
Check-in was great, room appeared clean upon arrival but when you take off your shoes it was bad. House keeping comes very early in the morning and leave at lunch so those of us who work late at night don't get the luxury of a made bed, fresh sheets or, clean towels. Breakfast had 2 options but it is based on first come first serve. All in all..... Not satisfied at all
We had booked a room at this Motel 6. We have stayed at some pretty skeezy places to save a buck, but it was gross. The mattresses were covered in period blood stains, had bed bug feces on them & one of the pillows had a bloodstain on it. The room reeked of pesticide. We decided not to stay there & promptly went to get a refund. Mind you, in the ”lobby” there were ”rules” taped everywhere. One of the rules was, ”If you unmake the bed there will be no refund.” Which is bull in chains, franchised or no. I have worked hospitality for years. The front desk woman got nasty with my wife & I. She told us that we put the stains on the pillow case, mattresses & there were no bed bugs. & said, ”There are no refunds if you unmake the bed.” I told her we have the right to check the integrity of the beds & that rule is not enforceable & we will get a refund. She kept arguing. I called Motel 6 corporate in front of her. She screamed like a child telling me to ”SHUT THE F UP” in the middle of filing my report with them. They heard her. I told her, ”DON'T F'N TELL ME TO SHUT UP”. The agent apologized for her & said they were going to write it in the report along with the state of the beds. The desk lady disappears for 10-15 mins. She pops back up as my report is being processed. She tells me, backtracking, ”I never said you weren't getting your money back.” I repeat to her telling me the ”unmade bed policy” & I tapped the sign that states it. & told her how corporate, who I'm still on the phone with said they can't do that. Guests have the right to check the beds. Again, she disappears. The manager finally appears with the refund paper for us to sign, desk lady is nowhere to be found & the manager says we'll get our money back in 5-10 days. The corporate agent on the phone said they'll follow up with us in 5 days. Also, while we were waiting to get a refund, before the incident occured - there was a woman who wanted her room either refunded or comped. Because they had been mean to her during her entire stay & her mattress was covered in period blood & bed bug feces too. She said she didn't encounter any live bed bugs, but still. She said the only reason she didn't leave as soon as she checked in was because she checked in late at night after being on the road for hours.
This is a nice little hotel in the vicinity of the Overland Park Convention Center which also has its little imperfections… Positives/ pros: As one previous Courtyard review said, in all different ways, this hotel has great design and color balance throughout the Lobby and further. I also liked it in the suite that I shared with my guests. It had a large and impressive parlor room, with a large wet bar countertop and cabinets below. I liked how you walked straight into the bathroom sink and then shower and toilet room from the parlor unlike the design arrangement of the Overland Park Sheraton. The bedroom area was situated nicely to the right of the doorway and behind the closet. What I did like better about the OP Sheraton in comparison was the separate wall divided entry foyer. All plumbing and electrical fixtures worked well, the furniture was intact and comfortable except some of the wood furniture with some wear on it. The Lobby and Pool area were very clean as both the. Pool and hot tub operated very well holding decent temperature. The Bistro breakfast food I ate was also good. Last, but not least, the staff was accommodating, welcoming, helpful, informative, and communicative. The absolute negatives/ cons: The carpet in both elevators was absolutely dirty across each surface. Just a black and smeared stain across both surfaces. It didn’t look like they had been cleaned for a long time at all. They both should be replaced and then the new pieces should be cleaned regularly. If you are a guest who is thinking about booking a suite at the hotel and you are going to be designated to sleeping on the pull out sofa bed, you need to be a heavy sleeper because there is a lot of audible noise and some light leaking into the cracks around the door and it’s peep hole. The ac unit and the mini fridge were so loud that I I had to shut the ac off, unplug the mini fridge, and put to sofa pillows against the door to block the light. It was a little to late to the point that I did not end up getting enough sleep. Remember, that room works best for heavy sleepers, not light ones like me. The very last issue was the small pieces of white paper like debris spread throughout the guest room hallway. The last reason I gave this hotel 4 stars is because of a balanced contradiction in opinions and issues: When I first arrived at the hotel about 30 minutes before the standard check in time, I was notified that my room wasn’t ready and I had to wait for it to be ready. When my friends/ guests arrived a couple of minutes later, I informed them about what was going on. A little later, we were informed that there was a shortage of housekeeping crew on dirty as was the case for other hotels, of course. It wasn’t something that I was too excited about, but I got through it and being patient by exploring the lobby, talking to my friend’s family, eating and drinking snacks from the Market, and briefly looking at my phone. The female front desk worker kept her word at
訪訪客This Home 2 Suites is a very nice, and centralized place to stay in Kansas City. It is close to restaurants and has parking on site (for a fee). We felt very welcomed when we arrived and the staff at the front desk and at breakfast were very helpful. The room we had was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.
訪訪客用戶This hotel is in the area near where I needed to be this weekend and it was clean. I will be staying again as I will need to return to the area.
I did have a mishap in that housekeeping cleaned the room but didn't make the beds. I had to leave to get to my performance venue about an hour after checking in, so I went to tell the front desk. The receptionist was very accommodating in getting someone up to my room ASAP, and they were made when I later returned. Thanks!
Also, I think one of the elevators isn't working, so you might have to wait a little longer. Had I stayed longer, I would have found the stairs.
LLeandrea nelsonThis is our main place we book where ever we go. The staff is friendly the room was clean the kids had a great time in the pool. The one problem I had was that the hot tub was cold and dirty I was upset about that.
